Moar power!!!
I have now bought two of these supplies - both for the same reason. I rescued an Apple Cinema display with the first one. The power supply was dead. Seeing that it only took 24V to power the display, I bought one of these. I now have a nice 30" monitor on my decidedly non-apple PC. That was some time ago. Recently, I had another apple display. This time, no power supply at all. Also did not even know if it worked. Bought a second supply, hooked it up, the display pretended to turn on but would not display an image. Not into tearing it down so to recycle it went. The power supply, however, sits in my desk. Waiting for the day when I need 24 volts at up to 8 amps to power something. If I find I need yet another, I will not hesitate to buy another of these. That it comes with the female jack is a bonus. Makes it even easier to install - no soldering required, and the supply remains removable without having to cut wires!

good choice
Works as advertised. Installed to power a shop built system to raise and lower my drill press table. Handles a fairly decent load without an issue for many months of continuous use.

6A boxes do provide a lot of power at 24VDC (144W)
I use these for powering 3D printer AMS 2 Pro units so I can dry filament at the same time I print with it without overloading the printer's own power supply. These 6A boxes do provide a lot of power at 24VDC (144W). The 5mm plug post is positive and the shield is negative. You can use them for LED light bars or any equipment requiring less than 6A. That's quite a good amount of power. This particular one runs from USA 120VAC 3 prong sockets that are not removable from the power supply.

DO NOT BUY!! Stopped working 12 days adter 60 day return policy ended
DO NOT BUY!!! ONLY LASTED 2 MONTHS!!!!! Had this power supply for 2 months and 12 days and it is broken. When you power it up and move the cord it will shut off and turn back on due to loose connection or bad wire. We use these to perform a job and this caused down time. Not happy that I have NO option to even return after 60 days. Not a good product

Works fine
I used this to drive a heater with 20V 6.5A and it works fine. The power brick seems a bit warm, but not worried. I'm not sure about the life span, but hopefully it will survive.
