So far I love this retractable hose reel. I dug the hole on Friday and installed the post on Saturday morning. The reel arrive Sunday and I had it installed a few hours later. I needed to added a leader hose and a quick release fitting because I need to move over the path between the water source and the hose reel. I added a hook in the back to hold the leader hose. It was easy to install. I installed a 4"x6" post because I was led to believe that the installation bracket would not install on a 4"x4" post (which is actually 3.5" x 3.5"). I placed the bracket onto the 4" side and the bracket CAN be installed there. The bracket and the post are the same width and the hole placement will secure the bracket to a 4" post. I found the instructions odd. It has note to install the bracket HORIZONTALLY but they mean VERTICALLY. The hose reel pulls out and retracts well. The sprayer offers a lot of good spray patterns. The only odd thing from what I'm used to is that the Off position is with the thumb switch full up; down is the ON position. I chose black as it fit my backyard better than would white. It also comes with a cover The handle will help when I move it to the garage when the weather turns cold. It also comes with a cover which I'm not sure I'll use, but it's a nice touch. I'm happy with this Hozereel 5/8" x 100 ft product.

Hozereel works great and looks great. Reels in and out easily, and comes with a quality nozzle. Quality Unit. I decided not to drill holes in my house siding to mount this though. Instead I mounted the Hozereel on a 6X6 green treated post secured in fast dry concrete, and then applied 2 coats of white stain sealer, and a black metal cap on top.

I purchased this after watching some comparison videos, and this one came out on/near the top. I’m very happy with this reel! It is plastic like all the others, but seems quite well constructed. The hose itself is nice and smooth, no problem with kinking if treated kindly. I’m especially satisfied with the hose nozzle. It has a metal body which should last much longer than the crappy plastic ones you get these days. I was even surprised to find the stream selector has a setting that is something between single jet and the shower. It has more power than the shower, but covers more area than the narrow jet. The reel operation is easy and predictable: just pull out what you need and it locks in place. When done, a short tug initiates retraction. The swivel works as advertised: I store it 90 degrees to the right, pull the hose either at 0 degrees or 90 degrees to the left, so it gets swiveled a lot. The mount is solid and no chance it’ll fail, even with the weight of the hose full of water. Overall, I can highly recommend this. I’m at a point in my life where I’ll gladly pay more for a quality product rather than save a few bucks and have to replace every few years. This reel seems to fit the bill.

I am disappointed with this retractable garden hose reel and its wall mounting design. The unit is extremely heavy, but the holder/bracket is weak and does not properly support the load during normal use. After installation, the mounting became loose and damaged my wall. I had to remove the hose reel because it did not feel secure or safe. The retracting force and weight place too much stress on the bracket and mounting points. For an outdoor product of this size and weight, I expected a much stronger and more reliable mounting system

The 5/8" x 100 ft Heavy Duty Retractable Garden Hose Reel by HOZEREEL is, on the whole, a sturdy and dependable addition to any outdoor setup, especially once it’s mounted properly. The build feels robust, and the hose length offers excellent reach for larger yards or more complex watering needs. In day-to-day use it performs smoothly, with the retractable mechanism generally working well—though there are occasional moments when it stops just short of fully retracting. A quick tug usually resets the mechanism and allows it to wind back in without trouble. Remains clean. Maintains great pressure. Decent value. Despite that minor quirk, it remains a highly practical and well-constructed tool that makes outdoor maintenance noticeably easier and more organized.

This solidly built hose real works well. The recoil mechanism preforms as you would expect and the nozzle has plenty of choices to fit your needs from watering flowers to washing the deck. The real contains plenty of garden hose to reach out to water trees.

I got the 130ft, 1/2" option. I was little concerned that 1/2" might be too thin but for my purpose it basically made no difference. It gets harder to pull once you are past about 30-40 feet and gets decently heavy too. But that is to be expected from a 130ft hose full of water. Have used it for about a week now with no issues in retraction. One thing regarding mounting to keep in mind, the bracket is a little wider than a standard 4x4. So I used a 16" 2x4 piece and attached it to the side of the 4x4. It worked out well.

I posted this on a tree log that I buried in the ground. I surrounded the tree log with gravel for drainage. I cut a notch at the top of the log and mounted this retractable garden hose perfectly. I drag this hose around to water some new shrubs that are planted pretty far away from the house. The retraction works very well. I've been using it a couple times a week with no issues. I sometimes let is auto reel with water spigot turned on and have not had any problems. I have not experienced any leaks (knock on wood) so far. I've had it a few months now and I really enjoy the 100ft length and the auto retraction. It beats having to manually loop a large honking hose.

Packaging is fine but the product leaks am have a tough time returning it

I have had this hose reel for a couple of months and wish I had bought it years ago. Makes everything look neat and tidy and easy to use.

Great quality. Retracting and extend bring house is a dream. We can finally keep the yard clean of house everywhere and packs great for winterizing. Easy to install and easy to assemble/disassemble for winter.
