We have a flat coated retriever and all previous combs have not really dealt with the massive amount of grooming she requires. This rake is the business. very easy to use for me and my dog also enjoys it (she has never endured use of a stripping knife), even rolling over for it to be used on her belly. it rakes out masses of thatch quickly and easily and is very easy to clean out afterwards. It's made our house a lot less clogged with dog hair too, which saves the hoover too! can't recommend it enough.
