Ich habe eine reguläre/normale Aeropress, die ich auf einer einjährigen Reise täglich mehrfach genutzt habe und perfekt mit einem Metal-Filter funktioniert ... die Aeropress XL und dieser Filter arbeiten leider nicht nur zusammen ... es tropft. Leider keine Kaufempfehlung. Leider lässt sich nicht klären, ob es an diesem Filter oder an der Aeropress XL liegt, aber zusammenfunktionieren sie leider nicht/untragbar schlechter als herkömmliche Aeropress.

Just like the reusable filter for the regular Aeropress, this XL version eliminates the use of the disposable paper coffee filter.

This review is for the Superfine XL. First of all, I will try to address some of these strange reviews. I don't know what these people are doing but some of them don't make a lot of sense. The fit: the filter fit perfectly in my Aeropress XL. It wasn't loose or too large, so you don't have to worry about having to trim it or anything. The press experience: This is very similar to using paper. When first adding the water, a small amount of liquid will drip through, possibly even less than when using a paper filter. Not a problem. When pressing, the resistance is again similar to when using a paper filter. It doesn't take any longer, but it's not quicker either. Cleaning: very easy to clean, just rinse it off and dry it. No grounds got stuck in the holes or anything. It adds a minute or two to your routine as you can't just throw it out like you do with paper, but the cost savings are worth it. The coffee: It might be my imagination, but it may have tasted a bit lighter in body than usual. Either way, it was very good. No grounds made it through the filter at all. It would be interesting to compare to the Fine XL to see if there is any difference in taste, but I don't have one of those. In conclusion, this works very well and I recommend it. Considering that paper filters are about £12 or £13 for 200 at the moment, spending £20 on a permanent solution that works just as well seems like a good choice. The only thing I would worry about is the metal filter is very thin, and it would be very easy to bend it by accident while handling it.

Sry for the shakey camera— obviously haven’t had my coffee yet, lol…. but this superfine gold-colored filter is more what I wanted after initially trying the silver “MESH XL by Altura” filter. The gold Cafe Concetto did let a little of that water through, but not much at all by just pouring (without any vacuum pressure), so that should help cut down on the early pre-press drips in the Aeropress (& eliminate needing to keep a supply of paper filters) until they make a flow control cap or larger Prismo for the XL brewer. Ignore any water spots on the gold one at the start of the clip, I just didn’t dry it well. I like this new Cafe C. filter 👍🏼
