The Primeval Apocalypse: A LitRPG Adventure : Keene, Robert S., Raizman, Alex: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: slightly slow start but builds up great - A bit different from the usual but seems like a strong base to build on. Looking forward to continuing this story Review: Good start to the series - Interesting characters and world-building, the beast master class is an unusual and so far great theme. Looking forward to the next books.

Enjoyable tale
Good start to a new storyline. An interesting world where humans fight for survival against all sorts of creatures . The MC is appealing to follow and his 'sidekick' in an unusual one. I enjoyed the interaction and the many challenges he has to overcome. Definitely looking forward to the next book.

Achievements and Abilities
I would not normally enjoy a LitRPG where the main character only makes two real choices relating to his growth during the whole book. What class he selects, and then a key choice relating to that class. All other abilities are automatically assigned on level up based on pre-set template. That sounds a bit limited - but there is a lot of strategy behind the character's actions and the mechanics are interesting. The setting is also very interesting with immersive descriptions. There is a bit of base building - and even more base destroying - but you don't actually get to see any progress, as the focus is strongly on the main character. The book is a very decent length. While I found the 'world building mystery' we are drip fed to be less enticing - the adventure should be very engaging.

Interesting story that had me engaged throughout. Really enjoyed the Authors humour and could not put it down until finished. Awaiting the next book.

Really liked this take on how a hero is depicted in a novel. He is of average intelligence, maybe above average in combat and loves his partner pet. Noech (Colin's pet partner) is not overpowered either, but is smart. The story is very engaging, interesting, and introduces many likable characters. I am looking forward to the second book of this series. One negative comment I read was about Colin being a follower instead of a leader, I personally found that part of his character refreshing! Highly recommend this book!

Gute Story, Konzentration auf einen MC, beim Levelup werden nicht alle skills erneut aufgelistet sondern nur die Änderungen.

The best part about this book was definitely Noaich! His personality is fun, and the fact that his intelligence stat is higher than Colin’s cracks me up. The growth was decent, and the stats weren’t clunky. I could have gone for more active abilities, but what we got was ok. The variety of creatures was nice, and the subplots or background bits definitely helped out the world building. My biggest complaint? The massive cliffhanger ending!
