Gorgeous
This is a beautiful item and quite heavy with the lid. The pan alone is relatively light, but, still takes two hands and potholders to move around. The lid is quite substantial and is really nifty with the lifting fork that comes with it. This is typical Japanese nanbu tekki ironware...excellent quality, functional, and elegant. This is not a deep pan - the internal height from bottom to the top before the curvature starts is 15/16 of an inch. I made chicken fried steak in it and it worked nicely. It would also be good as a breakfast pan for 1 or 2 people. It would be a good fit for a half dozen biscuits also. This is not for a big family, but for empty nesters or singles it would be a great fit. I highly recommend this!
