Great Product
Having a heavy tailgate on my F250 was an issue but now I don’t have to worry about the tailgate slamming when opening. Works great and was easy to install. Total installation time was around thirty minutes.

Didn't work for me
I bought one installed it on the truck did not hold the tailgate at all. Exchanged it because I thought maybe the first one was defective. When the second one arrive I installed it and the same thing happened the tailgate slammed and the item didn't do it's job.

Ease of installation…with the correct tools!!
Product was easy to install and works wonderful. Only problem was the tools needed to install the rivnut were not the same size,at all,as the ones called for in the instructions!!

mine broke shortly after installation. I eneded up JB welding it back together. so far is still holding.

Don’t tighten it to much!
This worked well for about a month then it came loose and while I was tightening the bolt down it broke off inside so I have no way to fix it.
