The Best Streaming Stick I've Used – Fast, Smooth and Packed with Features
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max has completely transformed my TV. Setup was incredibly quick, and within minutes I was streaming all of my favourite apps in stunning 4K quality. The biggest improvement over previous streaming devices is the speed. Menus are smooth, apps load almost instantly, and switching between streaming services is quick and responsive. Everything feels noticeably faster, making it a pleasure to use every day. Picture quality is outstanding, with sharp 4K resolution, vibrant colours and excellent support for HDR content. Streaming films and TV shows looks fantastic, and the Wi-Fi performance has been rock solid with no buffering issues. The Alexa Voice Remote is another standout feature. Being able to search for films, launch apps or control compatible smart home devices using voice commands is incredibly convenient and works surprisingly well. Overall, this is an outstanding streaming device that offers premium performance at an excellent price. If you're looking to upgrade your TV with fast, reliable 4K streaming, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. It's easily one of the best tech purchases I've made. the volume control and variety of controls on the remote is excellent.

Perfect All Rounder
To start off, setting up the fire stick is very easy, and the inclusion of the batteries for the remote is brilliant and saves you so much time and you can get straight into it. The remote controls feel solid and the button clicks are satisfying. The remote is also able to control your TV volume and is able to turn it on and off. To set up all you have to do it plug the wall plug in and then the other end into the fire stick and then straight into the tv, if it does fit the inclusion of the adapter is a great help and is what I ended up using and the stick is quite thick and takes up quite abit of room. Once all plugged and set up the system setup is easy and already links your account and remembers WiFi passwords etc if you already have other Alexa products I.e the echo or dots etc. set up took 2 minutes if that. Once the system is up, you get quite abit of control over the picture quality and it’s nice that this support upto *4k at 60FPS, Dolby vision is a nice addition along with the ambient mode which plays when not in use for a while. You get control over the colour bitrate too and FPS matching the content. For sound you have options of combing multiple Amazon/alexa products to create a whole sound system which is interesting but other than that it’s pretty straight forward. The system speed is great and doesn’t lag often on compared to standard TV os’s these days so that’s nice and you get plenty of storage for apps and I haven’t had any issues with that. I personally wanted to get it to get the steam link app so I can connect to my PC from the tv and stream games and the fact this has WiFi 6E is great as it means the speeds are fast and stable. It has a variety of apps and some games I believe? Only thing I wish was that the OS was more customisable and nicer to look at, you cannot change the colour is the style of the background/OS and are stuck with how it comes. Maybe in a future update this will change. Easily a great purchase as can be used for future TV’s too.

A good fire stick…
I wanted to update my older fire-stick, we currently only have one in the home. This fire stick threw me a little, I am ok techy wise on some things, but as you know, one minute it is new, next old stock. This Fire TV Stick 4K Max streaming device supports Wi-Fi 6E, Ambient Experience and 16gb instead of my older 8gb stick. I ordered the fire stick around Black Friday so the cost was cheaper, I wouldn’t pay nearly £70 for one. When the fire stick arrived it was all boxed so precise, really nice, everything in place. Once everything was out of the box I put the new fire stick in my tv port and plugged the device in. Now some people have mentioned the fire stick, should be plugged into the main socket in their reviews. I have my tv quite away from the mains, so I have an adapter and plugged it in to it. Started up well. You will need your mobile if you prefer to set up via QR code. With the plug ( yes it comes as standard) it isnt that long, in the box is an extension, I’ve not used it, but kept hold of it just in case. The extension is super small. So everything was going great, however there is always a BUT… basically nearly finished the set up and what is different between my old fire stick and this new one, you have no choice but to add Alexa or cube speakers to the fire stick. Meaning this.. I was downloading things I liked to watch, ie Netflix etc, then I could hear voices coming from Alexa🤔 my remote also would not work to increase or decrease the volume, I could see the picture, but no volume in the bedroom, only Alexa playing the film through Alexa speakers. I had to remove this and googled how to do it, what Google was telling me to do, I couldn’t unpair it. So back to the drawing board, I reset the fire stick back to factory settings, I thought that would remove it. How wrong was I, it just didn’t work. So I went back on Alexa settings again and looked around, and yes it could be done. If this happens to you, please follow these instructions, if you don’t want it. 1. Open the Alexa app 2. Open more, and select settings 3. Select TV & video service provider ie fire-stick 4. Select unpair. Everything worked after that. I tried to set it up differently the second time, I wanted the fire stick to remove all the old stock I had on my previous fire stick, all the movies etc, but it doesn’t, possibly because Amazon has everything on me. worth a try though, so back to manually deleting movies. So next to the wifi. Part of the information states you need to have fast wifi and not slow. So the 4K, wifi 6E ambient experience will work correctly. I have no idea what wifi mine was as in the level. What on earth is wifi 6, I just have wifi🤔I just in touch with my broadband and asked them, they came back and said I was on wifi 5. if you like me haven’t a scoobie about this, just ask your provider. Most are on wifi 5… I heard that if you haven’t the correct strength of wifi there will be stuttering going on when watching movies or tv shows on demand. Mine is fine. Whatever TV you have the picture is scaled up to the most it can do. I have a five year old Hisense in my bedroom, so new movies out do add a much better visual experience, whereas on demand tv is virtually the same. A brand new or newer tv will I dare say offer a better experience. This new fire stick does offer a lot more space, 16gb as opposed to 8Gb. The remote is a little different, the volume up and down buttons are now on the left side, so that’s something to get used to. At the bottom left hand side is prime video, underneath it apps, right side Netflix, below that Amazon music. The rest of the remote comes as standard. For once Amazon has included a couple of Amazon basic batteries. * For those people who are not sure if your TV is compatible, the fire stick should fit fine, any make or model, that has the ports. Do not be concerned that you haven’t the wifi 6E, not many people have yet, works fine. My broadband is with Cuckoo which uses Open Reach. I haven’t witnessed so far any stuttering, spin wheels. * As I mentioned my TV is 4K etc and five years old, one thing having an older tv, you will/may not get the full ambiance of colours, the tv does scale the tv up as far as it can go. * if you have never used or owed a fire stick before, it is a good investment for excellent tv viewing. There are a lot of free channels. You can also read the reviews before completing the download. Usually if you want to say download a movie channel, before you click download, it will state if it’s free or not. Some are subscription based. Just click on the ones you want to download, put in your QR code or via your mobile the code. If anything is payable, Amazon will take the money. All the usual channels are on there. To finish my review, I wanted to buy another fire stick, so my husband can have the 8Gb, I just really wanted it for some more GB. If the price was £70 odd I wouldn’t pay it. If in the sale then yes. I don’t feel there is much difference to the fire stick I have had for five years. However if you do have a new tv, you may notice considerably the great picture quality. The sound is a lot better. I have had no issues with no sound like some ( I think that’s happened as I said earlier in regards to adding the fire stick with Alexa automatically) I feel speaker side of things should be optional and not by default… it’s time consuming taking it off. When ordering this fire stick be mindful this isn’t on next day delivery, usually takes just over a week. Ordering now takes the delivery into January 2024 ⭐️Thank you to the seller ⭐️I hope my review helps you.

4 month review of the FireStick 4K Max
Here is my review of the Amazon FireStick 4K Max after 4 months of thoroughly testing this product: First impressions: My first impressions on Amazons latest fire stick were extremely positive, from the packaging to the build quality, how easy it was to set it up! Inside the box, I received: X1 Fire Stick 4K Max Device X1 Alexa Voice Remote Enhanced X2 AAA Batteries X1 Power Adapter X1 USB Cable (1 Meter) X1 HDMI Extender Adapter I was extremely impressed with how easy it was to set up this product, starting from plugging in the device the set up took between 10 and 15 minutes to complete, this consisted of Connecting the device to Wi-Fi, signing into my Amazon account and then finally downloading any mandatory software updates. Connecting the device to my Wi-Fi was make extremely easy and straight forward. Once I had finished setting up the device the first thing I noticed straight away was how effortlessly you can flick through the interface, no glitching, no loading times just pure high performance, it was such a great experience being able to download all my favourite apps within minutes thanks to how stable and high quality the user interface is. Once my favourite apps had downloaded I clicked open and they were open and ready to use instantly almost no loading time at all. Another thing I noticed immediately was the quality of the picture this little device can produce, even on a basic HD TV this fireStick makes every picture the highest of quality and on a 4K TV the picture quality produced is crystal clear and extremely smooth, every single image produced by this device looks almost realistic. Thanks to the built in Wi-Fi 6E chip there’s never a drop in performance which makes it such a reliable device. The new FireStick 4K Max comes with the Alexa Voice Control Function which makes navigating the device seem less and super easy, you hold the button say what you want and the FireStick does the hard part, you can do a variety of things with this function from asking it to change the volume, opening your favourite apps to asking it to find you a new series to watch of your interests, this function is super responsive, the second you press the button it’s open waiting for you In my time using this device I have used a number of apps which include: Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and Disney Plus. The video quality stays constant across all these streaming platforms, and thanks to the addition of Dolby Atmos (Spacial Audio) with 7.1 surround sound support makes you so immersed in whatever you’re watching or listening to. This really goes hand in hand with the amazing picture quality of this device. My favourite features of this device would be how portable/travel friendliness and the extended Variety of apps this device offers. I work away from home a lot so being able to throw it in my bag and take it with me wherever I go and load up my favourite apps is really important to me and this FireStick definitely ticked every box for me. I personally think even though this device ticked every box for me there is definitely still room for improvement, I think the biggest thing would be, this device is missing the option to expand the storage of the device, if there was an option to add a storage expansion card this device would definitely be top of the market for an Entertainment Device. This device comes standard with 16 GB of storage space which definitely is an improvement from the previous 8 GB on the older versions but as the Fire OS 8 platform evolves more updates come out and you end up with less and less storage space for your favourite apps, so having the option available to expand it as you please would be a great addition. Another thing I have picked up with while using this device is, there’s definitely a lot of Amazon Advertising on the Home Screen on the device which makes the Home Screen feel quite cluttered sometimes This Device is listed at £69.99, i personally think this is such a well priced item for what it is, you get amazing value for money with this device. There are definitely cheaper alternatives but nothing will stand up to the performance and Variety this device offers for the price I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone who wants: Portability, reliability, quality, Performance and a wide variety of services this product offers

Good bit of kit, but wait for a Prime Day or Sale, if you can, to grab one at a bargain price!
I'm a big fan of firesticks, mainly as they are a great way of turning a non-smart tv into a smart one for a fraction of the price of buying a smart tv. I've got 2 of the entry level fire sticks (I believe they were referred to as "lite" at the time, but now referred to as HD) which I've had for about 4 years, one for the main living room TV, the other for the bedroom. As some of the apps were getting a little "clunky" (worked but would take a few moments to load and didn't feel as responsive to button presses on the remote) I had been toying with the idea of getting one of the higher spec models and grabbing one at a bargain price during prime day felt like a good idea. I don't have a 4k TV, but this works fine on a full HD 1080p and I've got the benefit of 4k should I get a TV of that spec at any point in the future. Apps are noticeably quicker at loading and the ones which were clunky on the old sticks, specifically the Prime video app and the ITV X app, are now much faster loading, smoother, and more responsive. Set up was very straight forward as I chose the option for it to be auto set up when plugged in (I forget the exact term, but my layman's understanding is that the settings of my other sticks are stored by Amazon so the new one "knows" how to connect and which apps I already use) - I recon I was up and running within about 10 minutes maximum after plugging it in and a few obligatory software updates were installed. If this is your first, then the usual entering of WIFI codes and choosing which apps you want, entering usernames, passwords etc is required and to be expected. The remote certainly has more features than the more basic version but my TV remote is automatically able to operate the Firestick anyway without any set up or faffing about needed, so I can't verify the ease of set up for the Firestick remote to operate the TV volume etc, I just have no need for it to do that. The only slight downside is not an issue with the product, but with the delivery. I was advised of a Sunday delivery, which is fine, it said delivery would be via Royal Mail, which I hadn't expected but, OK, I can only assume that they do Sunday parcel deliveries, I'm aware they are concentrating more on that side of the business. When occasionally checking the "track package", it still indicated as a Sunday delivery so I was a little put out when I found a red Royal Mail card to say they'd not been able to deliver on Saturday morning (ok, maybe I should've realised they wouldn't deliver on a Sunday, but then, why state that as the delivery day?) So I had to rearrange via the Royal Mail's website to have the item delivered to a nearby Post Office to collect from there as I would be at work if they tried to re-attempt the delivery on the next working day. When I collected from the Post Office the outer packaging was a little torn and the product box was a little dented, however, no visible damage to the contents and, as this is a product review, I'm not going to knock off stars for the Royal Mail's slight muck ups and a seeming inability to knock very loudly on my front door.

Great for upgrading existing TV
Excellent device. I've used it to upgrade my first generation smart TV. My 55 inch older smart TV still has a great picture but the apps no longer work or update. This is the perfect way to get a few more years from the TV and add other features. It was a bit tricky to install as the remote wasn't paired to the stick, it kept turning on my bedroom fire TV. I had to use the mobile app as a tempory remote to then be able to pair the supplied remote. After that was done it all mostly worked well apart from two settings. There was a moire type effect on my screen which was noticeable in dark scenes using 4K at 60Hz. Luckely there is a setting in the stick that allows the display to be set to 4K 50Hz and this fixed it with no degradation to the performance of the stick. I also had to re-sync the audio to the picture. done easily in the stick settings. I think changing the screen refresh puts the sound slightly out of sync. All working great now and I am very happy with this Firestick, it has great features and performance and it has saved me from buying a new expensive TV. Recommended Update: Had to return as Amazon prime video app stopped working. All other apps worked great but prime video would just show a black screen with audio when trying to stream a film. I tried every suggested solution including reset and default settings, spent hours on the internet looking for a fix. I tried it in a different TV, same problem. I gave up. I didn't get an option for replacement from Amazon, only a refund, which was dissapointing. Looks like I'm buying a new TV after all.

Blazing Fast Streaming, Wi-Fi 6E Power, and the Black Friday Price Was Unbeatable!
Here is a 5-star Amazon review for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (Newest Gen), tailored to emphasize the upgrade benefits (Wi-Fi 6E), the value, and the new Ambient Experience feature. 🔥 Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (Newest Gen) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5.0 out of 5 Stars - Blazing Fast Streaming, Wi-Fi 6E Power, and the Black Friday Price Was Unbeatable! Why I Bought This Upgrade: I was using an older generation Fire Stick, and while it worked, the performance was sluggish. The upgrade to the 4K Max (Newest Gen) was a no-brainer, especially with the amazing Black Friday Sale price, which made the already great value simply unbeatable. The Game-Changing Features (The Pros): Blazing Fast Performance: This new chip is incredibly responsive. Apps load instantly, navigating menus is fluid, and there's absolutely no lag or stutter when switching between streaming services. It makes the whole TV experience smooth and enjoyable. Future-Proof Wi-Fi 6E Support: This is the feature that matters most for high-quality streaming. With a Wi-Fi 6E compatible router, my connection is rock-solid and faster than ever, ensuring seamless 4K and HDR content with zero buffering, even when other devices are hogging the network. Gorgeous Ambient Experience: The new screensaver feature is fantastic! It transforms the TV into a rotating display of beautiful artwork, photos, and personalized widgets (like weather or calendar). It makes the TV look like a large digital frame when not in use. It's a genuinely thoughtful addition that enhances the home environment. Crisp 4K and HDR Support: Picture quality is pristine, supporting all the modern formats (HDR10+, Dolby Vision) for cinematic visuals. Value for Money: At the sale price, this is hands-down the best 4K streaming device on the market. Final Verdict: The Fire TV Stick 4K Max (Newest Gen) is an essential upgrade for anyone still using older streaming hardware. The speed, the reliability of Wi-Fi 6E, and the surprisingly delightful Ambient Experience make this a premium product at a mid-range price. A flawless 5-star purchase and the best streaming device investment I've made!
