Bottle is great, product is way too sweet. Have watered down substantially and still not loving it. Perhaps it’s just the blueberry flavor, if you don’t like sweet things I would pass on this

Love the flavors that Vitapods have to offer. Great on trips, hiking or just relaxing around the house.

Let me start by saying I love the concept and the water bottle is really nice BUT the flavor is no good. I really wanted to like this product because i'm trying to replace my soda and juice with healthy alternatives post cancer treatment but this blueberry pomegranate flavor wasn't it. It doesnt taste like either fruit and tastes WAY too sweet. Not sure what it's sweetened with but it's strong. I was expecting just a hint of sweetness and fruit flavor (almost like a sweet la croix) but it tastes like fruit juice with added sugar. I would try another flavor but the price per bag is expensive and I dont want to risk not liking it and wasting a whole pack. I recommend the company make a variety sampler pack so people can try and discover which flavor works for them.

Too SWEET!

If this were a normal drink powder, I'd dump it in the bottle, close the bottle, and then shake it. With this new, amazing, Vitapod Hyrda+ system, I put the pod in the lid, put the bottom part of the lid in the bottle, twist the top part of the lid on that, and then shake. Revolutionary! Or...not. Now I have a little plastic container that serves no purpose and it actually took longer to prepare. It works fine but it's just pointless. The bottle itself is definitely high quality. It comes with both the Vitapod container smasher lid and a regular one with a straw, which you will use when you run out of the first batch of pods and never bother to reorder them again for as long as you live. I'd like to imagine myself finding the pod lid years from now, and trying to remember why it exists. Bottle is fine though. That will see some use since it fits in cupholders and is made well. So, what about the actual drink? It's very mild. It does taste like pomegranate with a little blueberry. It's not tart or bitter. It's pretty decent. Would I buy more? Well, I thought about it, until I looked up how much they cost. They are well over $1 per pod. No thanks. There's nothing here that justifies that price. Does it make me feel more hydrated than water? Well, I decided that I'd try that out by doing about 30 minutes of cardio. That is a lot of cardio for this old guy. I drank this, and then I went and drank some water because I didn't feel like I was quite hydrated enough. So, no, it doesn't make me feel more hydrated than water does.

I love EVERYTHING about this kit - the bottle, the pods, the flavor, the sustainability elements, etc. Ok, first the bottle - it's sturdy, tall, and is the perfect size/width for bringing on the go, throwing in bags, keeping in cup holders, etc. It had multiple tops, so if you prefer a straw, use the straw top, or if you prefer an open flow (wide mouth) top, choose that one. My husband and I each got a kit, and we prefer different tops, so this was an awesome option for us. We also love that the bottles are made of metal, not plastic. Second, the pods - they are awesome. Easy to use, easy to recycle, and it injects just the right amount of flavor into the water. I get bored with water and never tired of these bad boys. But, after having kcups, I was concerned about the sustainability of the pods and LOVE that the company addresses that up front and provides a mail-in recycling program to keep the pods out of landfills. That's now two wins on sustainability. We used these often and rave about them. 10/10 would recommend.

Overall, the bundle is great! The water bottle is great, really neat. Big bottle, insulated, metal, and amazing caps. Yup, you get two caps. You get a normal cap for regular use without the pods. That cap even has a detachable straw that reaches to the bottom so you do NOT have to flip the bottle upside down to get every last drop. Very nice. The other cap is for use with the pods and does not have the room to have the straw do to the pod being in the way. Still nice though. Both lids have a screw on cap for the mouthpiece and both have a very nice hinged, carrying handle that has a looser "deployed" setting and a more rigid, small profile "stowed" setting. The pods are great and you get 30 with the kit. Nice little boost to your hydration and the flavor is very pleasant. Really liking all of this bundle. Easy to use pod with bottle, just load and twist. Weird that the bottle is 22oz but pods recommend adding to 32oz. Just means more powerful flavor for the water I guess or a little trick to make you think you are drinking more than you actually are (scummy?). Still had to dock star because of the size of the bottle and because only the bundle is great. A pack of 30 more pods of any flavor is nearly as much as the starter kit with bottle itself! Not worth it! Pods are about 10 USD less than the starter kit. Nearly 45 USD for 30 pods? These dang things are not worth over a dollar a pod, especially if you drink more than a bottle full a day and use multiple pods. That is a quick way to go broke!

I like the idea of the added boost of vitamins and minerals in this water enhancer, but with the added Erythritol, this tastes too sweet. If I dilute it over the recommended 18-32oz and add it to my 40oz. tumbler, its not too terrible, but still not my favorite and I certainly would not repurchase. As a regular user of other hydration products, I also find the large amounts of plastic packaging with this system highly unnecessary! The company claims to be “green” and even includes a plastic mailing pouch to return the plastic waste to them in. This is all well and good, but how about not making the unnecessary plastic bits in the first place? I much prefer the slim tear open pouches of Liquid IV or better yet, the solid tablets from Fluid Tactical. Overall, with so many other options on the market, when you consider taste, convenience, price and overall carbon footprint, I cannot recommend Vitapod.
