Yeah, you read that right! I've been buying Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Lipstick for several years now and can confirm it's better than Mac! As the name implies, this is a "matte" lipstick. It goes on smooth, creamy and a little bit shiny, but dries quickly to a matte finish and it doesn't dry out your lips. (Ladies, you know what I mean!) If you put it on correctly in the a.m., there's no need to re-apply during the day. It's kissproof, waterproof and foodproof!

I forgot how much I loved this lipstick. I bought this years and years ago when matte lipsticks were all the rage and got more compliments on this lipstick (Everything Nice) than any other lipstick I have ever worn. As time passed I used it up, eventually had to toss it and I dont know why but I never reordered it. Fast forward to July 2025 and Im getting married and no lipstick looks or feels right. After spending days and days researching bridal lipsticks I simply asked myself.... "What lipstick do I get the most compliments on? Let me use that..." and this was instantly came back to my mind. I dont know why I didnt think of it sooner. Ordered it immediately and its just as perfect as it was 8 or so years ago. The formula long lasting. It's not too sticky, doesn't dry out my lips, doesn't smudge easily and doesn't peel. Most of my longwear lipsticks have all those issues. These feels so light and smooth and it wears down more naturally. It really in perfect and I wish it still got the recognition it deserves because it's formula is far superior to any of the other longwear lipsticks on the market and I've tried almost all of them. 10/10 a winner for me.

The product itself is great. It has long lasting opaque color. It's just getting the company to send you the color you selected on line that's the trick. I returned the first item because the color was so far off my request. The replacement wasn't what I ordered either. I kept the second one as I knew then it was just a game of roulette as far as the color goes.

Shipping was fast, but the liquid lipstick is seperating in the bottle...I swatched it on my hand and it doesn't look good. Maybe it's expired, I don't know. I'm not happy with this purchase.
