We bought this for our garden pond. It's quite solid and floats well, even after putting a 850g bag of rice on it. It stays firmly in position by filling the attached bag with stones which then acts as an anchor outside the pond (as per marketing photo). I think it will work well for frogs and mice but I'm not sure whether hedgehogs would be able to use it. My only criticism is that it's intended for swimming pools and is bright blue, it would be nice if they did a dark green pond version but then maybe after 12 months outside it will be dark green!

It really works! Today it saved 2 frogs and up to now I’ve saved 6 frogs since I’ve had it. ! I was sceptical at first especially as I have a pool cover over it, but they sit on top of the pad until I check every morning!

This is excellent. Two days after introducing it to our pool I went down and found a hedgehog on the platform! Brilliant. He/she was unharmed and safe. Thank you Frog Lovely g

Hopefully no more dead frogs in my pool. Very simple idea and now installed near the skimmer to allow frogs to escape.

So glad I finally managed to get one of these. Now I don't need to worry about ant hedgehogs, frogs or baby birds etc falling in the pond plus the newts can climb out easier. Best not to have a pond with steep sides in first place but I inherited this one. This would be great for paddling and swimming pools too.
