This Thing Is Amazing
I am 46 and have had progressively worsening hip pain for decades now. For the last eight or so years I have been disabled by it. I need double hip replacements but need to lose some weight before surgery, so, in the meanwhile, I am in constant debilitating pain and cannot stand long at all. Obviously, this dramatically negatively affects what I can do. I have resorted to taking a stroller out places with me for support and hanging a folding chair off of the back to open and sit on whenever I have to (which is nearly constantly). But, this is large, clunky, and not comfortable. I came across the TaDa Chair looking for portable stools and I ordered it and a much less expensive portable collapsing stool to compare for comfort or usability. The TaDa won. Today I went with my family on a garden tour. This thing allowed me to go! I could walk a few steps with the walking stick for very sturdy support, yet it is lightweight. Then I could stop, open it, and sit a few minutes while people explored the area, then move along and repeat. It allowed me to be there! It is very comfortable, which is a lot for me to say as everything hurts my hips. I was worried it would not be wide enough, again I am overweight and pressure on my sit bones hurts due to the pressure it places on my hip joints to just sit. It is super comfortable. While I am still in constant pain, this is giving me back to ability to go some places I wouldn't think of being able to handle before. If you think this might help you at all I encourage you to try it. My teenage son kept trying to sneak a sit on it and even he, who is in great physical shape, found it very nice when his feet were hurting after a long tour (before the garden walk had gone on an hour and a half walking tour of a historical mansion so when he met up with me in the garden his feet were tired). So it is helpful for all ages. This one is also great as it is height adjustable so I could get the cane height just right. And the seat is at a great chair sitting angle so it does not feel like you are squatting. It is easy to get on and off of. And it is so easy to open with one hand and re-close, or if you are going just a few feet, you can leave the seat open and use it as a cane still very efficiently.

Convenient seat for mobility impaired
This has quickly become an essential item for my husband. He cannot walk or stand for extended periods, but doesn't want to take the Rollator everywhere. This is perfect for allowing him to walk when he wants but gives him a seat when he needs to stop even if there is no bench or chair available. He have tken it across Europe and just came back from Yellowstone. It went with him everywhere. We love how sturdy it is when he needs to sit as well as being a short walking stick to assist him when he is walking. It opens and closes easier than an umbrella. I only wish the closed length was a bit longer to let him stand more upright when he is walking. He's had a different style of folding seat/canes. This one is much sturdier and has held up much better.

Good lord it's expensive, but it was worth the price.
Okay, it IS SUPER EXPENSIVE. But it IS REALLY GOOD. So if you can stomach the price tag, it does live up to the hype. I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user and we went on vacation to a historic place and I knew there would be a few places I wouldn't be able to use my wheelchair and needed a stool to sit on. This absolutely did the job. I always felt very stable sitting on it and it was as reasonably comfortable as one could expect. My son carried it for me when I was in the chair and it's super lightweight. So far only the one trip I needed it for, but it was worth it just for the one trip. I'm 6'5" and 185lbs. The weight was not a problem. That said, at it's max setting it's too short to use as a cane. For my situation, that wasn't a big deal. But just be forewarned to take their "user height" recommendation seriously. I did buy another folding cane/chair thing for this trip so I had options if this didn't work well. It was tall enough as a cane, but I still used this one due to superior stability and the fact that it opened and closed so quick and easy.

Easy to use tripod cane
My husband is having difficulty getting up and down these days and we have an overseas trip coming up that includes several day trips with tour guides. I wanted to find a cane that makes a seat and this is perfect! The seat folds in two making it easier to navigate than others I have seen. And it’s lightweight! Useful for walking and also for resting while listening to tour guides. The phone “rack” is a nice plus.

Best seat/cane combo on Amazon
I've bought two of these Step2Gold series 2 PRO chairs so far and I intend to buy another soon. These things are great! The series 2 PRO has an adjustable handle so you can increase the walking cane height. They are easy to unfold into seating position by just opening the clasp and pushing down on the tab. The feet have good rubber grips that are great in cane form and in chair form on every surface I've tried them on so far. The handle is great, it really feels secure in the hand and easy to grip with your whole hand to bare down on. It comes with a little flip out hook to hang the cane against a low rail or on your arm for a moment if you need both hands to grab something. And it comes with a flip out phone holder that I didn't think would be very useful, but when in chair position it can hold your phone while you watch a YouTube video or just so you dont have to hold the phone ut can still have it in view in case a call comes in while you're having a seat. The series 2 PRO is well-constructed, height adjustable, the seat is fairly wide and comfortable (although I would bring a little cushion if youre going to sit for a long time), and the three legs support you well when seated. Just be sure you sit on it properly. The handle should face upward between your legs in front of you, like riding a pretend cowboy horse. The colors are great and it come with a little carrying bag for when you need to stop it away while moving. My mother and sister keep theirs in their car so they always have a can/seat if they're standing in line somewhere or out at a spectator event and need a seat that is also useful for support while walking around. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone who can afford it.

great portable chair, worth the cost
I occasionally need a place to sit while doing my volunteer work at our zoo or while on outings or at events. One of my volunteer associates has used many varieties of these folding chairs over the years. She said the cheap ones break too quickly and too easily, but she loves this one (Series 2 PRO version). So far, I am loving this walking stick chair as well. It is as sturdy as you can expect from a three-legged stool. I like the phone holder on the handle. The seat is comfortable, but I don't think you'd want to sit on it for more than an hour. Don't plan on using it as a replacement for your hiking stick. It is too short and bulky for that. But I used it as a support while standing during stops on a historical tour. So even when I wasn't using it as a chair, it gave me support to lean on. I like that the rubber caps on the base can be replaced. The handle has to go to the front, so if that would be a problem for you, you might consider another option (walker with fold-out seat). The only con is that it is expensive, but then it is well crafted and well made. It comes with a cloth carrying case, but I wish it had a wrist strap on the handle so I can hang it on my arm when needing my hands for other things when it is out of the case. I am going to try to add this myself.

Need a wider seat
This is a nifty unit which I plan to use to follow a friend around the golf course. I'm 6'1" 250 & it does support me but the seat could use a couple inches on each side. It would seem to me if you extended the handle piece a few inches you could incorporate the extra seat into the sliding seat piece. Don't worry I know you aren't miracle workers & I plan to take a lot of pressure off my knees & back. Thanks

Very sturdy/durable and easy to use
I recently took this with me on my solo travel. I have autoimmune diseases that cause fatigue and also recently had breast cancer surgery and radiation treatments so add that fatigue and inflammation to the mix! I went on a solo travel to 2 countries and this Ta-Da Chair Pro has been my life saver! I can sit down whenever I feel tired and I don’t have to worry about finding a place to sit. Pros: -It was also easy to bring into the plane and either I put it on the overhead bin or if I had a window seat, it can go across on the side floor by the wall/window of the plane. -very sturdy- I may have accidentally dropped it a few times but it’s still intact -very stable to sit on-it doesn’t feel wobbly Cons: -it does have some weight on it—if it can be a bit lighter, it would even be better! - seat is not cushioned— very okay for short term seating but if you sit for longer periods, it can get uncomfortable -it doesn’t always stand on its own all the time as a cane—if I had to wash my hands in a bathroom, I had struggled to keep it standing up. I know it has a hook but the grip on that isn’t always reliable and the bathroom set up doesn’t always allow for you to use the hook.

Will I get some stick?
Not tried it outside yet as I’ve just received it. Indoors it works as it should, as I tentatively sat my 17 stone posterior on it. Lighter than I thought so hopefully I don’t get arm ache using it. I think I’ll probably look more like an ageing old man with it rather than a “ English man in New York”, but hope to get lots of empathy. Perhaps it will stop people asking me to do lots of physical jobs for them 😃. I’ll have to get over that initial self conscious state using it out and about. I think it has the appearance more of a folded umbrella rather than a walking stick(or a shotgun-to deter muggers 😉). I went for the Pro 2 as I thought I’d go for the best and it looks as though it’s built to last for someone of my weight, although I can understand those wanting the MK1 model for its slender looks. It’s not cheap but as it’s a one off purchase and you want the best, you pay your money and take your choice. The Pro 2 alleviates the concern about its length as it’s adjustable. I’m 5’ 10” and the middle setting seems perfect and so it should accommodate those of lesser height than me and those around 6’, albeit people have different arm lengths etc. I don’t go out of my house much being 70 and a bit seized up. I also get out of breath and knee, back and muscle pain kick in after a short distance (👂where are those violins coming from? 🙂). I’m hoping my new ‘cane’ will allow me some walks in the park etc during the warmer weather, as I will need to use it to have a nice sit down after a short distance. I’ll see if my walking range improves as I continue to use it-as people keep telling me it will (if I just get off my lazy backside 🙂). Lastly the extra cash gives you an unfolding lever to hang the thing up. It also has a mobile phone holder as no one can go for more than 5 minutes now without wanting to use their phone. I can imagine a passer by of lesser repute doing a swipe and run to alleviate you of the habit. I think I’d have designed it for the phone alone, as I use mine in a folding wallet, but it requires you use one of those simple protective surrounds-which admittedly a lot of people have. So in conclusion-I’m very pleased with it so far and looking forward to taking it for a test run-from the boot of my car 😊.
