It contains toxic heavy metals. (lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic). is this really safe to be applying around garden plants?

Try to grow vegetables without trace minerals. That's what AgriFarming has been doing for years. If you want to move the volcano that azonite comes from onto your garden, then you might have a problem. But your plants aren't going to grow without the minerals in products like azomite. You can use organic eggshells or Epsom salts if you're truly worried that you will die of arsenic or lead poisoning (which isn't going to happen) But I guess it's more fun to tell people the sky is falling. Just make sure it really is.

Does anyone know the NPK value for this product?

It's 0-0-0.2. No nitrogen, no phosphorous, and only a tiny bit of potassium. Azomite is useful for boosting the trace micronutrients in your soil, but it doesn't replace a standard NPK fertilizer.

Is this granular size Azomite?

no...this is the "micronized" version meaning it is a very fine powder.

If i'm recycling my soil do i re-apply azomite at the same rate each time i transplant?

Azomite doesn't burn plants, so you don't put them at risk to reapply for a new transplant. Since you added Azomite the first time you prepared your soil, the plant that was there before being recycled will have used some of the nutrients available, and those would need to be replaced in the soil for the new transplant.

working in sand base soil

Order well in advance, it will take a few weeks to get. The product is designed for sandy soils and helps bring the minerals back. If you are in a clay base the better product is green sand.

As expected

Somehow this is cheaper on amazon than it is at local garden centers. Not sure how that works, but I'll take it. I use this as a means of adding trace minerals to our garden. The soil itself is primarily compost (so lots of organics) but probably lacking in minerals. This stuff is a very fine powder that rakes in easily, although I don't recommend spreading it on a windy day unless you want to look like a human powered doughnut.

The dirt doctor told me to buy this!

Dr. Howard Garrett (Dirt Doctor) suggested this for my beds. The jury is still out on if it helped but so far everything is still alive. Please know this is a very fine powder that will blow away easier on a windy day. It mixes well with any kind of dirt.
