2nd Pool Blaster I’ve owned and used weekly
This is the second Pool Blaster I’ve owned. This product does a good job in helping to maintain your pool cleaning efforts easily. I spend around 30 minutes a week in general with the Pool Blaster vacuuming my pool and it keeps it really clean. Easy to use, recharge and clean to prep for next use. It will pick up almost all debts and has a strong suction for its size. It is a must have for me and my pool. As with any tool it has to be taken care of and charged as recommended. Do not overcharge the battery, charge as the instructions say. If you are a handy person, when the recharge battery inside the unit eventually stops recharging. You can order a replacement on line and replace it to extend the life and use of the vacuum. This will be at your own accord, ability and responsibility which would void any warranty left. Just wanted to pass this forward to any handy minded people. My first Pool Blaster last almost ten years with 3 internal battery replacements over time. It’s a tough and well built tool. Common sense and personal ability in mind, a welcome addition to any one’s pool upkeep. A must for me.

excellent product
Just got this product a month ago. So far have used 6 or 7 times. Each time it has worked wonderfully. It has great suction. is very easy to clean. is a time saver compared to my old system that is connected by hoses to my pool filter. my only complaint is that it is not a quick and easy thing to plug in the charging system. This may be my incompetence but the connection is not easily attached to the unit. Once charged it has sufficient charge to clean my pool. Another complaint is that it only has one set of buttons to attach the pole to. It would be easier to attach and release if it had a double set of buttons like most of my other pool tools. When reviewing other reviews, the major complaint was that it only lasted one season. I will purchase another one next year if this one only lasts one year just based on the ease of use and the time savings so far this season.

Niche pool cleaner but still useful
I bought this mainly to work on a few "problem areas" in my pool that either collect dirt often or that my pool vacuum does not reach well (or both). I have a 25,000 gal inground pool with a plaster surface. Shape is rectangular and ranges from ~3.5ft in the shallow to 12ft on the deep end. Two different cutouts for benches and one set of stairs in the shallow end.The problems I usually have are on my steps, which my cleaner often misses, and the attached spa where my cleaner cannot go. In the past I would have to just brush the silt off the steps to either sink to the bottom for the vacuum or agitate into the skimmer for the filter to deal with. Enter the Pool Blaster Max HD. A versatile vacuum that I can use from the deck to get just about* (more on this later) any area cleaned up.The machine charges in 4 hours and the battery lasts through 1 hour of usage. If you're trying to clean an entire above ground pool with this in lieu of a filter/vacuum, it's going to be like trying to mow the lawn with a weed trimmer and you might even need to re-charge it to complete the job.I found that it works best when the entire unit is submerged in water, it did not work very well on the shallow steps where part of the unit is exposed to air. The spade-shaped head was able to go over steps and get into a lot of the corners, but you will still need to use a brush for tight spots. The suction power was the most impressive thing - this thing picked up some gravel/pebbles as well as fine silt/dirt and algae.Once your bag is full (there is no indicator, it will just start to lose suction and you'll notice its moving dirt around but not picking it up), you will turn it off and need to clean out the filter bag. This was my biggest problem with the unit - as soon as you turn it off the water inside starts to backflow out of the unit and it will carry anything you've vacuumed up with it. I left a trail of green algae all the way across my deck as I carried it to the driveway to clean it out. Cleaning it means unsnapping the head (can sometimes be a bit hard, but a gentle knock with a rubber mallet or screwdriver base can help if it's not coming loose), removing the bag and washing it off. This process takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how dirty your bag is, and it will release a lot of gunk wherever you are cleaning - do not try to clean poolside, do it in your yard/garage sink/driveway to avoid making a mess into your pool or deck. The cleaning is an issue because, well, you're going to be cleaning it often. Just cleaning my normal size spa/steps usually takes at least 2 cleanings due to the bag being full. So it's more of a weekend job, not something I'm going to do while out on my deck for a few minutes. The good:-Easy to assemble and start using.-Reaches cramped areas better than a dedicated full-pool vacuum-Quality feels decent and works without issue-1 hour battery life is either good or bad depending on your needsThe bad:-Messy to clean-Small bag capacityOverall: It's a niche product - not going to be your only vacuum for inground pools and not large enough capacity for an above ground pool. Great for short cleans of hard to reach areas - spa/steps.

Saves time
I really like this pool vacuum, it saves a lot of time and is much easier to use this cordless vacuum, rather than the pool vacuum that hooks up to the skimmer. My only complaints are the charging plug can be a little tricky, I can't vacuum the top 2 steps because the vacuum comes out of water, so it loses suction not being submerged and I wish the debris bag was a little larger (I usually have to change at least once when vacuuming). Although those are complaints that I think could be improved, I would still purchase again, it is much cheaper than the robot vacuums, so it is good value for the money and it gets the job done, picking up pine straw and large leaves. I usually can get 2 uses out of it before I charge again and it doesn't take very long to fully charge.

Worth it
Honestly, didn't wanna spend the money on it but would buy again in a heartbeat.Works great in above ground pool. Following battery maintenance and haven't had any problems. The filter catches small sand dirt no problems.I don't have trees around my pool so not sure how it handles leaves and debris but plenty of power from the vacuum

No warrenty - revised
Edit to below review: the manufacturer sent a replacement motor assembly which was relatively easy to install. Now unit works fine and does a good job picking up debris off pool bottom. Hopefully it will hold up better going forward!Worked fine for two months. Now it no longer vacuums although the motor still runs. Contacted product support but a week later still no reply from them.
