Gross personally straight out of the pkg, might cook ok tho?
This is the only shelf-stable pickled eggs I've tried so I can't say if these are better or worse than the rest. I love hard-boiled eggs and pickled things however I can say that I do NOT love these... Maybe I need to find another application for these like in a soup or cooked dish but on their own straight out of the pouch they were a bit gross for me personally On the rubbery side, with a fishy kind of bitter taste? I admire such an easy-to-store product but could never eat alone, will update if it happens to be great in other recipes or something tho!

Shelf Stable, but Blegh
First off, I'm a fan of eggs, pickled and otherwise. For these, I like the individual packaging but the taste is just off. Gives hints of fish or something. Just seems off.

Hard, hard boiled eggs
Just straight vinegar flavor eggs were super hard and unpleasant to chew. I would just make my own.

Tasty!!
These are some very tasty pickled eggs, I appreciate that they are visually also very appetizing looking. I've had pickled eggs in the past that are smooshed or end up taking on a more beige appearance, but these are bright bright white like a freshly hard boiled egg. The aroma as soon as you open the individual package jar is strong white vinegar, and the taste is also very strong vinegar but not nearly as pungent as the other version I've also tried, the garlic and onion in brine/in a jar - I think that makes these a bit more balanced in flavor, and I want to revisit the garlic and onion flavor in these individual packets, instead of the jar next time. They have a very firm texture (but not too rubbery), and the pickling vinegar goes all the way through to the yellow. I'm not sure I would just snack on these straight out of the jar (as I did with the first one I sampled), but grated or diced up on top of a salad, or thinly sliced on a sandwich - I thoroughly enjoyed them for a good punch of intense flavor. I imagine these would also be good on a hike, to give you a bit of protein and a bit of salty electrolytes at the same time. Although you can store them at room temp, I prefer keeping them in the fridge so they're chilled on top of my salads/sandwiches. Received in July 2024, the best by date (which was quite difficult to see on the dark background) is January 2025.
