This tea has a strong taste, but I had a sinus infection and used it to heal and to open my sinuses....it is wonderful! If you think it's too strong, dilute after you steep the bag in boiling water. It makes it a bit milder and it does the job! Enjoy!!

Its a bit spicy in that it bites your tongue a little when strong

The taste of this turmeric ginger tea is very good — spicy, earthy, and strong in a good way. The flavor feels natural and rich. The problem is the tea bag quality. When I pour hot water into the cup, the tea bag tears apart and leaves pieces and tea particles in the drink, which makes me wonder if the bag material is dissolving into the water as well ! The tea itself is great, but the bag doesn’t do its job and needs to be much stronger.

This tea is wonderful and gives a substantial ginger experience. My only warning is the tea bags seem to rupture so careful with any stirring you may do. However even then you are getting a healthy dose of ginger. No problem!'

Really great a good taste of it’s own I will definitely buy this one again

This tea tastes wonderful. However, I find the wording on its packaging misleading. The back of the package states: “100% SAFETY TEA BAGS • NO MICROPLASTIC No Strings. No Wrapped. No Staples. No Adhesive. No Bleach. No Dyes.” That wording gave me the impression that the manufacturer had gone to considerable lengths to provide a tea bag free of plastic. However, because the bags look and feel remarkably like plastic, I became curious about what they are actually made from. Since I don't have the time or expertise to research the matter myself, I asked ChatGPT to investigate it for me and to check relevant sources. What it found surprised me. According to FreshDrinkUS’s own website, its “corn fiber” tea bags are made from PLA (polylactic acid), which the company itself describes as a bioplastic derived from fermented corn starch. So while these bags are not made from conventional petroleum-based plastic such as nylon, the material is nevertheless a plastic-like polymer — a bioplastic. More concerning to me, ChatGPT located a peer-reviewed 2023 study in the Journal of Hazardous Materials that specifically examined PLA tea bags exposed to hot water. The researchers identified PLA nanoparticles released from the tea bags into the water. ChatGPT also found more recent research examining particle release from various tea-bag materials. To be fair, this research doesn't establish that drinking tea brewed in PLA bags is harmful to human health. But it does make me question the unqualified statement “NO MICROPLASTIC” prominently printed on the package. I also asked ChatGPT whether manufacturers have alternatives if they wish to make tea bags without plastic polymers. Apparently hey do. Tea bags can be made primarily from cellulose or abaca (Manila hemp) fibers and can be mechanically closed or stitched without making the bag itself from PLA or another plastic polymer. I really like this tea and would gladly continue buying it if FreshDrinkUS offered it loose or used a genuinely plastic-free bag. In the meantime, I plan to simply cut open the bags and brew the contents in a stainless-steel tea infuser. My objection is therefore not to the tea itself — it tastes wonderful — but to packaging language that, in my opinion, does not adequately inform consumers what the tea bag is actually made from. Thus, on the basis of taste alone, I would readily give this tea five stars. My lower rating reflects my concern about the tea-bag material and the way it is described on the package.

I absolutely love this ginger tea! What really sets it apart from other brands is that it contains only ginger — no added flavors, no fillers, no artificial ingredients. So many other “ginger” teas on the market are blended with lemon, herbs, or other additives, but this one is truly pure ginger, and you can taste the difference. The flavor is strong, clean, and authentic — exactly what I want in a ginger tea. I drink it twice a day, especially after meals, and it has been wonderful for supporting my digestion. It feels natural and soothing without being overpowering. If you’re looking for a high-quality, pure ginger tea without any unnecessary extras, this is definitely the one to buy. I’ll be repurchasing!
