Cygnet Truly Wool Rich 4 Ply Sock Yarn - 4572 Mossdale (100g Balls)

I am really pleased with the results from this Cygnet sock yarn. It is quite soft due to the 75% pure wool therefore can split while knitting with the fine gauge needles used. The colours have given a beautiful fair isle effect pattern. From ball to knitting it is quite difficult to know how it will knit up. One 100gm ball of this yarn is enough for a pair of ladies socks (shoe size 6). By the feel of the finished product I'm sure my new socks will wash and wear well. Looking forward to cosy feet when I'm out on my regular walks.

So far I’m very pleased with this yarn. I’ve been knitting socks for 15 years and knitted a lot of different yarns. The thickness is as I’d expect it from 4 ply and it’s nice and soft. The pattern comes out nicely. Only thing I don’t like is the picture on Amazon as it must be using filters to intensify the colour. My picture is quite true to reality.

Stunning absolutely thrilled knits beautifully and the combination of colours and colour divisions is perfect for knitting socks. Will be buying all shades now in this range and knitting mittens to match.

Used this wool to knit my husband socks. Lovely to knit with. Knits an interesting pattern. Will buy more of this wool. Delivery service very good also.

Great for cosy socks. Had this for a birthday gift in March and was new to sock knitting so initially found it slow. However it forms it's own pattern as you knit even when using a basic stitch
