Parker IM Fountain Pen | Dark Espresso | Medium Nib with Blue Ink Refill | Gift Box

I was searching for an alternative to my usual rollerball pens and discovered this beautiful Parker IM fountain pen. As I already own a Parker Sonnet pen, I was confident that this one would be of good quality. I was right. Its black lacquer body coupled with the contrast bright gold trim is truly stunning. I like the fact that the pen has a good weight to it. It is not substantial, but feels really comfortable. The barrel is exactly as I had hoped; it is thick which allows for a secure grip. The medium sized metal nib is robust and feels as though it could even outlast the pen! The writing experience is one of best I have ever had. Whether I choose to write with less or greater pressure, it is effectless and I feel no discomfort at all. The Parker IM Fountain Pen is a well designed and attractive writing instrument which is also very functional. I am pleased to recommend it.

Lovely pens, I’ve had three so far. I don’t use them too heavily but the last one snapped at the barrel. Previous versions haven’t had this issue so would recommend the style and type. Write well, are just the right weight and are easy to grip and doesn’t leave a mark on your finger.

Was fabulous until it broke inside. Writes like a dream, lovely weight. Then the internal bit snapped and so far I haven’t managed to contact Parker customer services. Website doesn’t work. Phone is never answered. Email address they gave me on Instagram is for India. I don’t think I’m getting a refund or a replacement. Very sad. I’ve used Parker all my life. EDIT: finally got hold of them and they sent me an entirely new pen. Still only four stars and not five because we don’t know if it will happen again.

I originally bought a Parker 51 but was extremely disappointed (the resin body scuffs permanently when you simply post the stainless steel cap) so I returned it and got the Parker IM instead. The box it comes in is no match for the 51's, which is very premium, but the pen itself is better quality, being made entirely of stainless steel - with no scuffing issue when posting the cap. It's a nice weight and well balanced, even with the cap posted, it writes well with no scratchiness or stalling, and the finish (I went for the Dark Espresso) is gorgeous. With the difference in price I was able to order the pen, an ink converter and two bottles of Quink for only 59p more than just the Parker 51.

Well worth the money, I would advise buying the attachment which can convert the pen from cartridge to fountain.

I thought it was time to improve my writing after having used biros for years. Got this lovely Parker and you have to make a bit of an effort to keep your letters straight and the same size…… but that is what I need. Unfortunately I dropped my fine pen…… of course it fell on its nib and in despair I was going to write to you : Amazon to see if you could get me a new nib… I tried….unsuccessfully and In the meantime a friend has straightened it out but I am still hoping to get a new nib….. My nearest place is Glasgow and I don’t go there often as I am going to be 86 at the end of the month and I only drive in the countryside. It is a super pen anyway and it looks very professional I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their writing in good shape!!

Elegante, intramontabile

Ho sempre amato le penne in generale e le stilografiche in particolare. Ho cominciato quindi a comprare le Pelikan Jazz, sia biro che stilo. Esteticamente gran belle penne, ma il metallo con il tempo scoloriva e la scorrevolezza di entrambe non era il massimo. Ho poi deciso di comprare un set di penne Parker e la musica è cambiata totalmente. Scorrevolezza a livelli incredibili, sia per la biro che per la stilo, anzi, ho cominciato con stilo da pochi euro e qui la sorpresa. Che compriate un modello da centinaia di euro o un modello da pochi euro, le Parker stilo avranno una scorrevolezza e una qualità di inchiostro imbattibili rapporto qualità prezzo. Per questa penna, presa in offerta a poco più di 34 € poi, definirmi soddisfatto è poco. Esteticamente bellissima con il suo deign bombato e le sue finiture color oro, il pennino fino, esalta la scrittura e la qualità dell'inchiostro fa il resto. In più rispetto a Pelikan - che nell'ultimo anno ha praticamente raddoppiato il prezzo delle sue penne -, il prezzo delle Parker è stabile e non fa scherzi nel caso poniate la penna nella lista dei desideri per poterla acquistare non appena ne abbiate l'esigenza. A questo si aggiunga la garanzia di due anni che Parker da sul pennino, cosa che nessun rivenditore fa. Consigliatissima. PS: suggerisco a Parker di mettere anche una ricarica nera oltre che l'ottimo colore blu, come accade per altri modelli. Ps2: Se potete, acquistatela come venduta e spedita da Amazon; oggetti così piccoli, sono spesso soggetti a furti (come accaduto a me), ma grazie all'ottimo servizio ai clienti di Amazon, non avrete alcun problema di sorta.
