Rebuild or replace a 6 ft3 wheelbarrow with poly tray that was old and tired? I went for the complete rebuild.* Replaced all nuts and bolts with stainless steel nuts and bolt from a rebuild hardware kit that had everything needed.* OEM air tire was always flat. Replaced with solid tire designed for a 5/8" axle. Easy push with bearings that turn smooth. Included axle grease fitting and needed axle spacers.* Replaced wood handles and applied clear UV protected polyurethane coating.* Cleaned and painted all rusty metal hardware.$90 total invested in rebuild. Feels solid, good as new. Alternative was spending about the same amount on a new wheelbarrow with air tires, reg steel nuts & bolts, poorly coated wood handles. Only regret was not measuring pre-drilled holes in wood handles to match new handles that didn't line up.

Considering what a new wheelbarrow costs these days, I couldn't bring myself to trash the old one, so I repaired certain parts, bought a couple of others, plus these bolts. Didn't have to make any adjustments...they fit perfectly.

Good for the price

At this point the only thing original about my old wheelbarrow is the steel tub and metal fittings. I’m on my third set of handles and second tire. When I replaced my handles this summer I had to grind off a few of the rusted (original) bolts. These replacement nuts and bolts worked fine. Some are overly long for each placement, but better to be too long than too short. Get them and cross this chore off your list.

This kit works great. Lots of different length bolts to accommodate different thicknesses of wooden handle thicknesses.

I was able to reconstruct an old wheelbarrow given to me as junk. If I ever buy a new wheelbarrow I will buy one of these sets to replace the original hardware. I could have used a couple more of the 5 inch bolts, but I can cut these down if they get in the way. I definitely needed my reciprocating saw to cut off the ancient rusted bolts that needed replacement. A good quality new wheelbarrow is nearly $200.00. So investing in new wood parts and this set of stainless hardware to recreate an old one makes a lot of sense!

Good quality happy with the product

All the hardware I needed when I replaced the rotted steel handles with wooden handles. Your local hardware store will likely carry the wooden handles. The wedges are hard to find but can be found on the major auction site.The hardware looks to be of good quality. Some screws are a bit long, but it’s on the underside of the wheelbarrow and doesn’t cause any problems.Good as new!
