9" Wireless Apple Carplay Screen for Car & Android Auto with Backup Camera

This ended up being a terrific upgrade for our 2012 Toyota Highlander Limited. We were gifted this car with only 34,000 miles on it...and its a Toyota, so it will run forever. But the JBL soundsystem and navigation OEM unit in this vehicle can't be upgraded or replaced. The bluetooth connection thru the factory stereo is ok, but you still have to heavily rely upon your cell phone for music, apps, Waze, etc. This Wireless Car Screen was very easy to install (I even pulled some of the ductwork to route the wires neatly, but not necessary for those who aren't that picky) and configuration was easy as well. You now get a large, bright screen with easy CarPlay/Android connectivity for Maps, Waze, and Music ...and didn't have to spend thousands at a stereo shop for a complicated install. Has been working great now for 4 months. Always connects automatically on startup. Didn't use the accessory backup camera, but may do that down the road to replace the OEM one. highly recommend this super easy and cost effective to your older car. Likely to buy another for a pre-Carplay vehicle as well.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great upgrade for an older car I bought this to add Apple CarPlay to my 2009 Highlander without having to replace the factory stereo, and it’s been a great upgrade. The 9-inch screen is a really nice size, and the display is clear and easy to see while driving. Setup was straightforward and the CarPlay connection has been reliable. Having navigation, music, calls and messages all right there makes the car feel much more modern. I also really like that it’s portable, so there’s no need to go through the hassle and expense of replacing the factory head unit. The backup camera is another great feature and works well. The different mounting options are useful too, so you can position the screen wherever works best in your vehicle. Overall, I’m very happy with it. For the price, it’s an easy way to add modern CarPlay/Android Auto features to an older car without spending a fortune. Would definitely recommend it.

Well, the cable from the camera to the screen is way too short. About 4 feet too short for a 2010 ford edge to make it from the license plate to the dash if you’re trying to route it through the bottom moldings , or top moldings along the top of the doors. Even if you drop the headliner it’s too short. Also, the field of view in the camera is very, very narrow. Almost to the point of being useless if you’re going to use it as a backup camera. I’ve never seen as poor a backup camera as this. I ran through everything before trying to install. Connecting to CarPlay initially continuously failed if I tried to sync contacts. Once I didn’t try to sync, things connected correctly. Now on to the red power wire for the backup camera to turn on when connected to backlights. Again, WAY too short. You’d best have a spool of cable you can splice to extend it. Screen looks good. Could be a bit brighter in daylight, and a light sensor would have been great to automatically dim instead of the silly “dim at a certain time” feature you have to program. In looking at the camera my kit came with, it isn’t anywhere close to looking like the ones in the listing pictures. I don’t know what happened here, if the wrong one was shipped, if someone retuned what I received and swapped out the camera or if the seller did a “refresh” and changed things for the worse. CarPlay, once set up, connects quickly. In my opinion, what this kit does right is far overshadowed by all the shortcomings. Also, impossible to connect to car Bluetooth. I’m more than disappointed. I’m upset with this purchase.

I contacted the vendor and told them my situation with it resetting to home screen and losing bluetooth connectivity. They contacted me via email an ASKED ME if they could make things right with a replacement model! WHAT?? Seriously? I have NEVER experienced such an EXCELLENT customer service team than these guys. Within a day after agreeing, giving them my address, on my door step today, the brand new, unopened replacement unit came. I installed it, tested it, and it works perfectly! NO company can guarantee every one of their products will work right out of the box or at a later day as hoped, but the mark of a true company is when they do what they can to make things RIGHT! Take care of their customers which in turn, is a good faith way for them to share the good news and want to buy more from them in the future. I am VERY pleased with their customer care they offered me. ** (Original review before company made things right) I have had this car screen for almost 12 months now and had been so very pleased and surprised with it's value/price and performance (up until a week ago). I have an older Honda Fit that has a failing radio with external aux. port and thought this carplay screen would be THE device I needed to fit my needs. I love the forward and rear cameras (extremely clear). The screen is very responsive to touch. The size is perfect for my car with lots of cable length to go from the rear to front of my car when installing the rear camera. Issues with device: A was great until 2 weeks ago. (1) Unit turns off from displayed screen and audio through car speakers. (2) Bluetooth looses it's connection. Uncertain if it is the unit itself or just the bluetooth function. Whenever listening to something or following maps on the screen, the device will stop working-just stop. The car power adapter still is shining red, meaning it's receiving power, but it will intermittently go back to main menu and drop music/calls, etc. (3) Rear camera stopped working and a friend of mine has the SAME unit and he gave me his unused back-up camera to test my unit and it worked perfectly. The camera unit itself had failed. I am past my warranty period, I believe and had not bothered to request a replacement, so, I guess for now, I need to just use it until it completely stops working. Oh...and I use a Samsung Phone, but when using the approved Samsung video application, it WILL play the audio and no video. :-(

Extremely easy setup and works right away right out of the box. Multiple connectivity options makes this quite versatile . Will work with nearly any vehicle. Both cameras and main screen are high quality and high resolution. You really can't beat this unit for affordability, versatility and quality. Highly recommended with no reservation. 5 Stars!!!!!

I got this screen back in November of 2025, its now July 2026. It worked great for quite awhile. It did unstick from the dash around May 2026, I bought some gorilla tape and was able to tape the bottom of the mount and reposition it so the screen could rest on the dash. That seemed to work. But also around the same time, May 2026, it started to have issues to where it would frequently disconnect and would close out my navigation and music/audio book. It did this randomly here and there since ive had it, but it started happening more frequently around May 2026. Sometimes it would disconnect multiple times within a few minutes, and sometimes id get a good 30 minutes or so without it disconnecting. I only live about 5 mins away from my job, amd most days it would disconnect while I was driving to work. It was really unsafe when I was using it for navigation to have it disconnect. Most of the time it would reconnect by itself within about 30 seconds to 2 minutes, and would pull navigation and music right back up. Other times id have to unplug it from the cig lighter and plug it back in to get it connect again. Anyway, I looked into it and apparently you can contact the seller for a manual update. I tried to find out how to do this, but could only chat with amazon customer service and they did not help with troubleshooting, a manual update, or connecting me with the seller. Good news is they did offer me to return it for a full refund at least!! So it was great while it lasted, but im going to look into other options. Id hate to purchase the same one just to have the same issues down the road. I didn't even have it for a full year, and im really disappointed that it didn't last long.
