Having made Pandora his home, human Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is now living among the alien Na'vi people and raising a family with his love, Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). But he will find himself forced to defend them when deceased enemy Col. Miles Quaritch's (Stephen Lang) consciousness is transferred to a Na'vi avatar as part of an attempt to colonize Pandora. James Cameron's blockbuster sequel that blends live action and CGI also stars Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet. 192 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks: English Dolby Atmos 7.1.4, DTS HD stereo Master Audio, Family Friendly Dolby Digital 5.1, DVS Dolby Digital stereo, Spanish Dolby Digital Plus 7.1, French Dolby Digital 5.1, Japanese Dolby Digital Plus 7.1; Subtitles: English (SDH), Spanish, French, Japanese. Four-disc set. Review: Incredible sequel - Director James Cameron has a reputation for attention to detail and perfection in his movies. This sequel certainly has all of this. This film is incredible. Particularly outstanding for me is the amazing water effects. Much of the movie was themed on water (hence the name) and I couldn't tell what was computer generated or the real thing. It was so impressive to watch. Cameron waited until the technology was available to him to create such realism (one reason for the film's delay) and it certainly delivers. Not everyone liked the run time of over 3 hours but I enjoyed all of it, no problem for me. The story could have been shorter but with such impressive visuals it was a feast for the eyes. If you liked the original and are an Avatar fan then you won't be disappointed. It's the usual good against bad and reaches a climax featuring a major battle, nothing unusual there, but it does feature different tribes and some wonderful marine creatures. The 3rd installment is due at the end of next year so expect more of the same thing and there's nothing wrong about that. Review: Fantastic watch - Great movie. Highly recommend

A TRULY OUTSTANDING VISUAL SPECTACLE
Must admit like many i'm sure, I wondered when after all these years when we'd finally get to see the sequel to the visually excellent first 'Avatar' movie...well the time has come, remembering the first was way back in 2009....was it worth the wait ?.....100% yes, couldn't take my eyes off it, visually stunning, with amazing special-effects coupled with the build-up to it's exciting, action-packed conclusion. Sixteen years have passed, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) once human has become a true respected leader of thge tree-people 'The Omatikaya clan' and is married to the former chiefs daughter Zoe Saldaรฑa as Neytiri, together they have three children along with an adopted daughter and human-child Spider (Miles) Since vanquishing the Sky-People from Pandora they have lived in peace....however, the Sky-People return with a vengeance, among them a group turned Avatar lead by the ruthless Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) with one directive...KILL Jake Sully. Jake to protect his family decides to take them across the seas to a group of Islands too seek santuary. The Chief of the Metkayina clan respecting Jake, allows the family nto intgrate into their way of life, it'll be a tough ask for Jake's family, they have to learn and respect 'The Way of Water'....which in time they do, however, failing to find Jake in the Omatikaya territory, the colonel and his force look further a field.....war is coming for Jake's family and their adopted friends of Metkayina clan.0 A truly GREAT WATCH

Great movie!!
What a lovely film! Missed unfortunately at the cinema but purchased as soon as this came out in digital format. Loved the first movie and this second film did not disappoint. The effects in 'The Way of Water' is just as impressive as the initial movie. Stunning scenery, great characters and story line :) I wouldn't necessarily recommend purchasing the additional bonus content okay to watch once but unlikely to watch again. Bonus features includes: inside pandora, capturing pandora, some audition footage, new characters of pandora, screen tests, music video (Nothing is lost, you give me strength - The Weeknd), and costume design.

Techno rubbish sequal
Gosh, not worth paying for. First Avatar was mind blowing in its day. This one is a poor equal, which is far to violent which takes away any beauty created under water. The RDA was supposed to resume mining Unobtainable, which is a reasonable assumption. But it's not, it's total violent action film on a Sci fi planet. The glory of Pandora is totally destroyed by deploying Jake and Co with sub machine guns. Awya was no where this time, only the whale provided the past closeness. The cute young girl with her bright yellow fishy type friends pwas very cute. Cheated that Parker and Grace had a couple of minutes on set. Unlike the first, won't be buying the bluray. Winslet deserves credit where credit is due, but the none exsistant story, which should be all about p} The RDA travelling back a long time, to renew their quest for the minerals is completely lost in a vendetta against Jake. Dissapointing, and in some parts clones the first Avatar. As one poster mentioned somewhere, kids being thrown around like dolls is also what bought the films reputation into questions being asked about filmed abuse of children by armoured soldiers even if they were Na'vi, just makes me think of the kids suffering in Ukraine. You can't get away from the fact, this is an invasion iof someones indigenous home, and has in many scenes current memories of persecuted races and their children doesn't go down well. Unfortunate timing yes, but Cameron should have realessed this year's ago. Ikrans are the most gorgeous creatures invented. I fly my own in Second Life, but for peaceful pursuits not used for killing. I rest my case, some will think different, that is democracy, but for me Cameron crossed the line, so for me, the love affair I had With Avatar is finished.

Epic Visual Masterpiece โ A Must-Watch Movie
Avatar is a breathtaking cinematic experience and a true visual masterpiece. The world of Pandora is stunningly beautiful, with groundbreaking visuals that still feel impressive today. The story is engaging and emotional, blending action, adventure, and a strong message about nature and humanity. The performances are solid, the soundtrack perfectly enhances the atmosphere, and the action sequences are thrilling without overwhelming the story. Itโs an immersive film that draws you in completely and leaves a lasting impression. A must-watch movie and a landmark in filmmaking.

Incredible Movie
Incredible movie; especially if you have snorkeled or scuba dived. The 3D puts you underwater and you will have fun recognizing or guessing the actual creatures (whales, sharks, flying fish, etc) that inspired the alien creatures in this movie. The actors and stunt people actually were underwater holding their breaths while acting during filming. The special features on the disc explains everything. I found watching normal movies or TV to be inadequate for a few days after watching this blockbuster. It is too bad not all films could have this one's production values and loving care given to them. A must-own for sure to just re-watch the first act's underwater magnificence.
