Unquestionably a good product!
First of all, this came in a tightly sealed foil pouch without extra air. I feel that's important in DI resin. Second, I've used about 2.5 pounds of this in a dual resin canister setup (5 stage RO/DI system). Over the last 3 months I've seen some color change at the bottom of the first canister (as expected). The lifespan seems to be in line with my expectations for more expensive resins. Finally, and in summary, this product packed well into the canisters, appears to be lasting like more expensive resins, results in 0 TDS, and came appropriately packaged. Overall, a good value for a great product.

Great Value! Excellent product!
I am very pleased to have used this as part of overhauling my point-of-use RO DI drinking water. About a month ago, as I took a sip of water I told my wife how awful it tasted. I have been regularly changing my pre-filters on my RO DI unit. I had never recharged the resin or even the RO membrane IN 5 YEARS!!!!! Oooops. My TDS was 336 ppm. Compared to my tap water - it was identical. I am ashamed of myself. I vowed to never go longer than a year between resin changes. We only use about two gallons a day on this unit. So, new bank of pre-filters, new RO membrane, and new DI resin. My TDS is back down into the single digits. Oh, and the water tastes like - nothing. It is just pure, clean, refreshing water. With 5 lbs, I should be able to fill my (very large) resin container at least three times. I would suggest to my seller (CFS): I understand you are buying this in bulk from ResinTech and repackaging it in smaller quantity for people like me who only need a nominal amount. But I would suggest a bag a little more substantial than a standard zip lock bag. Even if you used a freezer grade Ziploc, that would be better. I had to store the surplus resin in a beefier bag. The Ziploc it was sent in was almost to the point of giving out. Wow, that would be a HUGE mess!

Pure water 0ppm
I keep tropical fish and use Resintech MBD-30 Nuclear Grade Mixed Bed DI Resin as the final step in my aquarium water filtration to obtain absolutely pure water. After passing through my reverse osmosis filtration system, my water still contains about 10ppm total dissolved solids. I then filter that water through the Resintech DI resin. The water that emerges is absolutely pure, 0ppm total dissolved solids when the resin is brand new. As the resin is used it will gradually change color from blue/yellow mix to all yellow. The total dissolved solids in the water will also gradually increase as the resin is used. I use this resin in a 10 inch refillable inline cartridge. I can filter about 200 gallons of water before the total dissolved solids climbs to 6-8ppm (incoming RO water is 10ppm) and I replace it. You could also use this resin for primary filtration of water straight from the tap and still get 0ppm water, but the life of the resin would be reduced, maybe drastically, depending on the quality of your tap water. I haven't measured it out, but just eyeballing it, I'd say 5lbs is about 3 quarts, more or less. I get several refills out of a 5lb bag, so the cost per gallon of filtered water is very low. The resin comes in a heavy mylar bag. The bag is not resealable (would be nice if it were), but it is durable enough to withstand repeated folding and clipping without coming apart so not a huge deal. I will buy this product again. Appears as described
Product came packaged in sealed heavy duty clear plastic bag the same way as when I purchased from a different company that went out of business. Which is very good. The color of the mixed resin also appears dark blue with the gold resin blended in. Again looks like the same product I’ve been using for years. As I bought this to refill my filter canister (fits inside a typical whole house filter housing) before I ran out I haven’t used any of it yet to be able to say it lasts as long or not. I’m assuming this is new and not recycled resin. Regardless, at best my thoughts on this matter would be a bit subjective as I don’t have a totalizer attached to the housing. Typically I get 2 full rinses before replacing as even sitting with the housing valve in the off position and container full of water, I’ve had the color go to tan.

Just a high quality as the name brand stuff - reef tank
Product looks great, nice dark color when filled into the DI cannister and transitioning to a Amber color from the bottom up as it's being depleted. Be sure to pack it tightly to keep it from channeling. I think that it is lasting just as long or longer than the store bought name brand stuff. I use for a saltwater fish tank in a barracuda RODI maker. Showing solid 0 TDS on the in unit tester and in the hand held tester in the RODI reservoir in the tank. I bought a spare cannister and just swap em out and refill two at a time.
