DOFF DOFAM004DS 4M Slug and Snail Adhesive Copper Tape - Multi-Colour, 1.4x1.3x0.4 cm

My mum told me about this tape and I wasn't completely convinced but wow its all I've used this year on my tubs and planters. No slug pellets to worry about with my cat. Fantastic stuff. You have to be careful when applying as it breaks quite easier. Also it is a little sharp but definitely worth the patience when applying. I will only use this from now on.

This has protected my sunflowers from slugs and snails beautifully! I didn't order quite enough tape so a couple of sunflowers were not protected and surprise surprise, these are the only ones who have holes munched through their leaves.The tape is very sticky and if it sticks to itself it's impossible to unpick it. Eventually discovered the knack to peeling off the backing without this happening though.

Bought this slug tape to prevent slugs getting onto cat bowl which is in the sun room. Put tape all around, which was easy, next day no slugs day after in the evening I noticed a few slugs near the bowl. I can’t understand how they were still getting there! Weather turned colder so not such a problem. So not totally happy. Sorry. Would recommend trying though as reasonably priced.

A nice and easy to use copper based adhesive tape for keeping sluga and snails out of flower pots etc. Could do with a longer lrngth for the price.

Bought some of this stuff from homebase over 5 years ago. A single 4m roll each was sufficient to go around my raised beds and has lasted until now. I've recently dug the beds out and stripped off all the filth and algae and decided to redo the copper tape - mostly for aesthetic purposes as it never was all that effective as a slug repellent. The old tape was still well stuck to the wooden beds with over 80% of it still intact after all this time. The stuff I received was much thinner than the previous material, and has not adhered well. I did one bed months ago. I bought a second roll which came today and is so short it has only gone half the way round one bed, it can't have been more than 2m in length, nevermind 4. Sadly I've bought one more to finish it off so that it matches and will never touch the stuff again. I advise you avoid my mistake.

Quite frankly, I didn't think this product would work but decided to give it a try anyway. However I was completely wrong, it is amazing! I had a problem with slugs entering through an air brick, through a gap in the floorboards and then into the kitchen. With this tape I made a frame, two thicknesses wide, all around the air brick. That was a year ago now and so far no slugs!

Amazingly it works. Just seen snails and slugs turn away upon touching the copper. I've just ordered two more. Only gave it 4 stars because its a bit expensive and 4m does not go far if you are working around the circumference of pots!!

It seems to be working so I will recommend it. You just wrap it around your flower pots and voilá
