Simple and it works.
Changing my review. I was not using the tool correctly then watched a video Lisle had on YouTube. Worked like a champ after that.

Better than manufacturer tools
Solid metal tool, works great. Can be used on front or back side of pulley on GM v8 engines. Much better than factory tool.

Good tool by lisle
The tool itself works just fine. Only reason i gave 4 out of 5 stars is because even with stretch belt tools you’d still have to fight the belt sometimes to get back on or have to improvise to get the job done . Overall solid .

well worth the money and savings on frustration
This tool beats the snot out of having to try using a million zip ties. I previously purchased a lisle belt tool that would remove and install stretch belts but it never fit GM's crank pulleys and I tried to modify it for the alternator pulley and it didn't work there either. Just give up your loss and time and use a heavy pair of scissors or like I did, a metal shear to cut the old belts off and use the tool on the crank pulley to install your belts. Only use a large ratcheting wrench to turn the crank pulley and spin the engine by hand to help get the belts installed.

Works great. Works better than the tool Chevy tells us to use. Saves a lot of time using this tool. Makes the job much easier

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. I wasn't sure at first if it would hold and or stay on while installing the belts but it worked perfectly. 2019 Silverado 5.3
