VIDCASTIVE 4K Mini WiFi Indoor Camera Wireless Nanny Cam with Night Vision, AI Motion Detection, Long Battery Life, Cloud & SD Storage

First thing I will say about the camera is that this is not a particularly SMALL camera but it does a good job with video quality. I like the quality of the recording. It also has a decent battery so I am pretty happy with the performance so far has been really good. As stated this camera is smaller than a security camera but it is not exactly small which is why I would not say this is exactly a "spy" camera. Regardless you can hide the camera or just mount it and use it as a normal camera if you wanted. It has motion sensors to help with reducing battery usage and storage. Speaking of storage, you do have a micro SD card which is already installed in your actual device. It comes with a USB 2.0 card reader if you need it. The stand is small and easy to put the camera on. The camera can be "knocked" off but it is not something that will just fall off on its own. It has a pretty good sound coming from and the night vision is not to bad. The camera gives you a clear view of a person's face night or day for the most part. You can adjust the quality as needed. Do not put the camera close to anything on the sides as the night vision will just reflect off that wall and you will not be able to see at night. The camera does record at a good resolution and the memory card slot is easy access. You can change out the card whenever you want to increase or decrease the memory. I did try 128 gb and it read the device just fine after the update. It does do loop recording and it does have motion sensor settings to save battery life on this. You are looking at getting several hours of camera time if you are recording periodically. The battery life can vary depending on the foot traffic in the area. It can record up to several minute. It takes a few hours to recharge and can be used while being recharged. At that point I do not see the point in the camera. The application is pretty good. It is not perfect but it makes it easier to configure the camera. It sometimes crashes but it works. It allows me to access the camera and footage quickly. Overall I think the video quality is good. The device has a decent battery life. The picture quality is not bad and the sensors are on point. The only minor complaint I have is that it is not exactly a "small" camera.

I first saw this cam on YouTube. I figured i would check it out. The cam came early at the Amazon locker very happy with that! I actually waited a week before i started using the cam. Ive had others and the other cams where junk. The cam is mounted on exterior door frame of my studio office. When im on duty the cam is on a schedule on and off. The the directions are easy. To read. It is easier to use the cams own hotspot. For the price you're paying for this cam no contracts. You do have to have your own 128 gig SD card. it's really a good product. The camera alerts me through motion detection, it alerts me when bodies are going through the sensor, it gives me an idea what's going on outside the door of my studio. Even for a distance when i'm on duty, the video quality is good has a lot of clarity. I'm putting the security camera through its test right now. For battery life and motion detection and other modes.That this cam has. So far i'm happy!

Super short battery life!!!! The picture is clear, the camera is very small, great magnetic hanging - but the battery life is so short I’m very displeased. I bought this to see my elderly mom’s stairs as a safety precaution because I live far away but it dies constantly and is super frustrating! Perhaps mine is defective but my experience with this camera is poor based ONLY on battery life.

I've had this for a little over two years and it has worked pretty well. Setting it up was a little tricky but once done it has been working like a charm. About a week ago it died and would not charge. It finally charged yesterday up to 100% but this morning it has less than half the battery. This is a huge difference because it would last for a good month without needing to be recharged. Over the two years I've had no issues with it and found the video quality and the wide angle of the camera to be great. The night vision is very good as well. I would have nothing negative to say about this device after using it for over two years other than the battery seem to only last 2+years and setup is a bit of a struggle.

Fails to detect micro sd card, camera fails to connect to wifi, which is the only way to control it, and the one time it finally work after many resets, it only worked for less than a day, made 2 motion detection recordings to the sd card then stopped and hasn't worked again since. Do not buy Customer service RMA'd the defective camera, the new one works as intended. I still dislike the camera for a few reasons but updated to 3 stars due to good customer service and camera does have a decent picture and works. The reasons I do not like the camera: 1 - you cannot just connect to wifi to control the camera, the wifi has to have an internet connection which to me is absolutely ridiculous. 2 - if you do not want to connect to wifi with internet access the camera will create its own wifi access point, which has no way to set a password so there is no security and anyone can join the network and control the camera. 3 - if you do not want to connect the camera to wifi with internet access and use the wifi AP that the camera creates the battery life is terrible.

Honestly, as far as the visual, it is perfect I absolutely love the idea that you could zoom in and out the thing that made me only rated two stars was because of the sound the sound is very poor. You cannot pick up what people are saying or understand it at all also when you get a phone call or do anything else it automatically logged you out and then you have to log back in and it takes moments for it to connect back so if you were in the middle of watching something or catching someone in the middle of an act you miss what happens for a few seconds I want to say maybe 20 seconds before it will reconnect. That’s a long time when you’re trying to record something. If you don’t care about the sound I just need the visual then this is the perfect camera for you.
