So close to being perfect.
I was disappointed that delivery was delayed from the stated date to several days later - I had arranged to pay for a man to help empty my pond on a set day and had to put him off as the net hadn’t arrived. I also think the fixing of the two ‘rods’ forming the arms of the net needs to be more secure - it came apart twice while in use, and the locking of the handle in a chosen length is a bit hit-and-miss - sometimes it locks, other times it just slides shut again. Having said those negatives, on the positive side, the net is fantastically large, long handled, and incredibly strong. Catching koi and ghost carp over 2’ long and weighing several pounds each, only to find you have caught SIX in one scoop, I was expecting the handle or net to break. It managed it with no problem and none of the fish was damaged. Generally, I was pleased with the net and would have 5*-ed it, if the stated niggles had not appeared.

Price + performance = another ngt bargain
I will not lie, is the handle as sturdy as my branded net, no, is the spreader block as well made, no is the net as large, no. But this cost 23 pounds, my branded alternative cost 119 pounds. I purchased this net to add to a mobile pike set up. I will not name my branded net in my main set up but is it worth 6 times the money. No way, this ngt net is sturdy and easy to use, the arms easily slip into the spreader block which solidly attaches to the Tele pole handle. Is light easy to use in my mobile set up and has performed well thus far. Once again I'm slightly taken by surprise by the quality ngt tackle can provide the angler at prices unthinkable 10 to 15 years ago, I believe some anglers don't look hard enough at some products available and a bit of tackle snobbery prevents people giving it a go. If trainers don't have a certain few brand names attached people don't even look, the same applies in angling within certain people, having been a very keen angler of 25 years and having owned lots of branded products over the years I can honestly say that I will not waste money any more. Ngt tackle provide bargain after bargain that are welcome in my set up as they perform just as needed. If you are new too angling or a seasoned professional I urge both the same don't get sucked In too paying brand premiums. Do your research and if you still want too spend a little mor for branded items then fine, but I am here too champion the fact not to ignore these cheaper options of which ngt supply nearly everything, as they will do much the same for a fraction of the cost.
