Complete value for money. I have completed 2 long distance rides, more than 2000 kms with this setup. Great for beginners. Easy to setup and sturdy for long rides. I use it to mount my iphone since i dont have action camera for my bike rides. That itself talks about its durability and quality. Must buy for beginners or for normal day to day use

The product is a described. The first time I ordered it was missing the main screw which attach the holder to the strap so I replaced it and got it in the replacement. It works as described although it probably wont be a replacement for an action camera. The main issue is if you have a big phone (which all phone nowadays are), the holder and the phone shakes quite a lot especially during bumps which ruins the footage even if your phone has OIS or other stabilization. POV shots in two-wheelers look best in ultra wide camera which turns out disastrous on this due to the shaking. The build quality is decent and the appearance isn't that eye-catching. The comfort of the strap is also quite decent and secure. The good thing is you can wear it in rain as it doesn't have any exposed metal parts except the phone holder tightening screw.

When a phone is attached to the mount, the mount keeps tilting downwards while riding, it cannot hold a stable straight position. Waste of money. The quality is good but of what use if it cannot keep the phone straight.

I tested the Sounce Helmet Chin Strap Mount with both an action camera and mobile setup. While it’s a budget-friendly option, the design has clear limitations depending on the helmet type. Helmet Compatibility This mount appears to be designed primarily for ADV-style helmets with a protruding chin structure. On those helmets, it may work reasonably well. For full-face/sport helmets, the fit is not ideal. The mount presses against the chin vent area and tends to compress the vent/mesh, affecting both comfort and fit. Wind Noise & Helmet Seal Issue (Important) Even though it may seem compatible with full-face helmets, in actual use the strap creates a small gap between the visor and helmet (chin area). This leads to increased wind noise at speed If you’re using a Bluetooth communication device/intercom, audio clarity is affected significantly On long rides, this becomes noticeable and annoying Interestingly, this gap can slightly reduce fogging in rainy or cold conditions, but that’s more of a side-effect than a benefit. Mounting Mechanism The locking system feels unconventional and not very confidence-inspiring. It requires compressing the chin area, which doesn’t feel natural or secure. Strap Quality & Stability Strap quality is average Tends to shift or loosen Creates awkward pressure points inside the helmet Doesn’t feel fully secure even after tightening At higher speeds or aggressive riding, stability is questionable. Mobile Usage Warning Although it supports smartphones, I would strongly avoid mounting a phone here. It feels unsafe, adds unnecessary weight, and affects balance. An action camera is a much better option.
