Review: Fantastic Boot at a Reasonable price - Fantastic value, a well made and very comfortable boot, arrived on 12th Feb and other than 2 days I have worn these boots every single day in wet weather, whilst resanding a cobbled path and generally abusing them, i bought the boots due to having sciatica and they helped keep my foot aligned, I have applied a Scarpa boot wax to them once every 2 weeks and no signs of cracking in the usual. places boots get them. I have a narrow foot and these boots fit perfectly and they're super comfy, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend these boots to any of my friends but I see reviews mention the leather has cracked but I think if you realise leather needs an element of cleaning and care especially if you've been trudging through peaty soil or they've got soddened it will punish the leather so just like your own skin you gave to give them a bit of Tlc and the boots should last you a long time, so don't be lazy kicking off your boots and leaving them covered in wet mud and god knows what, clean them and bang a bit of dubbing on them and let them dry slowly and the leather will apreciate it... excellent item 👍..... ive added extra to my review it is now the back end of July and these boots have been worn virtually everyday still and the leather has not got a single crack or a potential line where a crack could appear, they are still very comfortable and the soul is in tip top condition despite the abuse I have given them, again I treat my boots with a dubbing wax at a minimum of once a month and they are in pristine condition. and have been completely waterproof too... I love these boots ❤️ Review: Good buy - Good boots that don't cost the earth. Comfortable and rugged

Great boots
I have had these boots for just over a week now, absolutely delighted with them, light weight boots that are very well made and seem durable. And 100% waterproof, I have worn these in torrential rain and my feet remained completely dry 👌 Also very comfortable in all terrains. And all for £45, absolute bargain 100% recommended

Lightweight boots...
Out of the box the quality looks great. Lighweight boots, perfect quality. Well made. I wore them for the first time and they felt great. Much lighter than my other boots that finally fell apart. I am a perfect size 8 but always buy a 9 as I like to wear thick socks or two pairs of socks in winter. These boots felt comfortable only wearing lightweight socks...which suggests that the sizing is snug. The design is good, I like that there is only one sturdy tongue securing loop and not lots of lightweight loops on the tongue for the laces. Knocked a star off because it difficult to tighten the laces due to the design of the lace holes.

To be avoided in my humble opinion
I found the item not as described as in the boots are not breathable whatsoever the outcome being your feature remain wet within the item and the inner souls are such a very poor quality

Completely brilliant budget boot.
I bought these in January 2021 and they’ve had fairly hard use. Had one bit of restitching done on both. But overall they have been great. Lightweight, comfortable and waterproof even in the bogs of Exmoor, the mountains of Snowdonia & the Brecon Beacons. Now 4.5 years later I’m delighted to find these exact same boots are still available, and for the same price. Highly recommended. You won’t find a better boot for the money. Actually I’ve seen inferior boots for over twice the price.

wear quickly, tear laces
Wear out very quickly, especially the soles, which are soft compound rather than vibram, as some others of Karrimor’s are. The prices jump up and down, so sometimes these are £44, sometimes £90 (so you think £44 is a bargain, which it isn't). Sometimes the similar boot with a vibram sole is the cheaper - hard to discover which is which, which is deliberate. Both types claim to be hard wearing, which cannot be true because vibram lasts twice as long. Laces snap because the cheap metal hooks have sharp edges and so cut through. Laces are cheap and nasty - but you are going to buy new ones anyway. Theirs are too long, so get shorter. Inadequate arch support, so I take out the insoles and put in my own, better ones. The boot cracks anyway, but these are cheap and cheerful and good enough for me - I have VERY wide feet, so tear out sideways any boot or shoe, hence I buy cheaper footwear and replace more frequently. The boot will stretch sideways and loose shape, but if I wanted smart footwear I would not be buying walking boots. I wear them for daily use. Despite all this, IF they are £44 then they are an easy and reasonable choice.

Fits like a...mitten
The shoes seem to be made of high quality. I expect them to last. Unfortunately for me, the toe box is massive. The heel is OK, there is effectively no arch support, lacing doesn't allow for a lot of customization, and the toe box, as previously mentioned, is huge. I wouldn't take these on a hike on a mountain. They are fine for urban hikes and I have roughly 150 miles on them in the first few months. 3 stars are because the quality seems excellent, but the fit for me is not.
