We wanted to replace an old manual ceiling fan/light that we've had in the Master bedroom for many years with one that could be controlled remotely, or with an app. This CEME Smart Ceiling Fan/Light fit what we were looking for, so I ordered it. It was simple for me to assemble the ceiling fan, and it took me around 25 minutes to put it all together. However, installing it took longer than normal because I had to use a ladder to place it over 10 feet in the air on a 26 degree sloped ceiling. However, it wouldn't work properly because the downrod that came with the package was only 4 1/2" long, and it wasn't long enough to keep the blades from scraping the sloped ceiling. A longer downrod wasn't included in the package, so I contacted the ceiling fan's customer service (TianHome). Chloe was the rep who corresponded with me, and she was very helpful and prompt in her responses to every inquiry that I had. She arranged for a longer 14" downrod to be sent a day after my first contact, which I was very happy about. Even though the item was sent quickly, the carrier experienced their own delays. When I again asked TianHome customer service for help in finding out what was happening, Chloe was the rep who answered me, and gave me the information that I needed. Finally, after two weeks, the longer downrod was delivered to our home. Once I received the longer downrod, it was simple for me to switch the shorter one out with it, and reinstall the ceiling fan. This fixed the problem, and the ceiling fan worked fine. This allowed me to actually explore all of the features of the ceiling fan. A remote was included with the package and it allowed me to control the speed and direction of the fan, along with controlling the brightness and the three color temperatures of the light. Even though using the remote was nice, most of the real features of this smart ceiling fan are controlled by the Carro Home App. In addition to being able to do all of the functions of the remote, the app also gave me the ability to set a cutoff timer (From 1 to 8 hours), set a schedule to turn the fan and light on and off (Along with sending me phone notifications once they were executed), and set different scenes that can be activated by Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa (I used Siri). I tested each of the app's features, and all of them worked perfectly. This ceiling fan has very bright lighting, and the air circulation (10 speeds) is much better than what our old one could produce. We are very happy with the upgrade. The only improvement that I could think of would be for this ceiling fan to work with Apple Homekit, since we use Apple products. I must say that this is an excellent smart ceiling fan that comes with excellent customer service.

Higher priced than most fans in this size/décor. Hanger seems to be a casting, rather than the typical formed metal-good or bad a matter of preference. No second, longer down rod as included in every other fan I have ever received. Down rod ball appears to be plastic. As a result a "safety" cable is included, but no provision/instruction is included regarding how to fasten the ceiling end. Screw for motor end of the cable arrived stripped/cross threaded. Down rod cover at motor end does not fit properly due to too close a tolerance. 10 speed fan, but not individually selectable-you click a single button repeatedly to change speeds. Contrasting blade brackets (gold) but do not stand out as much as I had feared. More timers (8) than typical, but not available via the remote. Components packed in boxes, so no Styrofoam or molded cardboard to deal with-that alone makes this a stand out. Feeling generous, so 4 stars, 5 for the electronics, 3 for the build, missing down rod, poor factory assembly and design. Premium price for a lower middle of the road product.

I got this for my vacation cabin. I liked its more rugged industrial look and feel. It worked out great in the living room of the cabin. 10 speeds seems to be overkill but it is nice to have this option. The light is bright and I prefer the 2700K warm white setting. Just my preference. I have only used it with the remote control and not with the app. I have way too many apps on my phone already and did not want one more. The remote is simple and easy to use. Looks and works great. Couldn't be happier!

This fan is so far great! We haven't connected it with the internet yet, but it looks like advertised. For a vaulted ceiling you will probably need an extension rod. You will most likely have to order through the manufacturer because the way it connects does not work with a traditional down rod you would buy at the hardware store. The one they sell works perfectly and has the additional electrical connections that will be needed anyways! The customer service is fantastic and I would order products from them again. There are a wide variety of settings for both fan speed and lighting. I have used other smart fans before and this one has a lot more settings.

This ceiling fan is amazing. I like that this ceiling fan is a smart fan which can you can control by Alexa, google assistance, or Siri. I like that you control the fan or light by voice command. I also like that you can control the fan/light by using the fan app. I like that the fan motor is very quite. I absolutely like that the fan has 10 speeds to control to tailor to your cooling experience. I like that the fan has 3 color and you can control the brightness of the light. I also like that you can schedule your fan or light to come on. The schedule is great for if you exercise in the mornings. I like the fact that you can use this fan for indoor/outdoor use. The fan was very easy to assemble. It was very easy to link to my Alexa. This is a great fan to have for your outdoor patio. I love how you can schedule the fan to come on/off.
