Absolutely love this product. Have purchased it yearly for the last 4 years, if not longer, the supply lasts us just about a year, and we have a fire almost everyday that the high is below 50 (we are frugal with our fatwood usage). I buy for everyone who has a fireplace, or gets into firecrafting. The ability to snap the boards is spectacular.

I ordered this brand of fatwood, it shockingly came within 24 hours!I opened the box and groaned, it was thin sliced strips, like wide fat bacon rather than the square ish split wood I'm used to using.It smelled pitchy like fatwood and I certainly wasn't going to send a box of wood back because it is "different" visually.I've built several fires now and am happy to report that it burns well.I use just one piece and split it with my fingers into four strips.I place these strips under the kindling and light all four. It actually makes a quicker fire than using two traditional split sticks does!I'm actually using less fatwood and getting faster fires!

In the past the Fanwood I purchased was a stick. This fatwood is a flat sheet. It still burns well but doesn't last as ling.

On time tracking works good. I particularly like the thin pieces. Goes farther.

I thought that I was buying fat wood. These are thin pieces of pine core that start quickly but only burn for maybe 2 min or so. You need to continue to feed the fire that you are starting with more and more. Not worth it.
