Got for mom and she really enjoyed this. Relies on the audio books now so to find a story and a reader that both meet approval is not easy but this fit the bill.

I found it very very slow to get to the point.I much prefer the Sherlock Holmes books.Be well.

The greatest mystery solving duo since Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, Dr. Alexander Scofield and Capt. Waverly Underhill return to broadcast on this fantastic story filled with suspense and mystery. THIS IS A RADIO DRAMA-NOT A BOOK. I used to listen to "Cape Cod Radio Mysteries" a few years back, but could never find any on CD. After hearing "The legacy of Euriah Pillar", I was hooked on these two. This story is unbelievably well-written and was an absolute pleasure to listen to. More of a modern tale involving "The antiques roadshow" it still had me guessing till the end. Great buy!

This 2 CD story takes our heroes Underhill and Scofield to a taping of the PBS series "Antique Roadshow" where a startling discovery is made: hidden among the antiques are some rare items relating to Edgar Allan Poe. It all adds up to an elaborate scheme in which nothing is what it seems...including Capt. Underhill himself. This story has some good twists and turns, and it is refreshing to listen to a mystery once in a while that doesn't have a murder in it. Production, as always, is excellent, and the actors sound like they're having the time of their lives. Highly recommended.

I've loved this series for a long time. First on cassete then on audio cd . The charactors , the voices , the openning just sents the mood ! It sweeps you away !
