Very sturdy and easy to assemble.
Why does a healthy 77 yr old who can drive 8-12 hrs to visit family, lives by herself and does whatever she pleases, need a bed rail? Because I spent 54 yrs married to a sprawler, even in a King bed! Habits are hard to break. I've fallen out of bed twice now. My bed is 36" from mattress to floor. I have to use a stepstool to get into bed. Well, I fell about a wk ago. Usually the heavy part hits the floor first. Plenty of cushioning back there! Not this time. My right foot got in the way and I broke several metatarsals. OUCH! Now I have a rail that wakes me up if I accidentally roll over and touch it. Assembly was easy. Typical medical device with holes & push buttons. Strong tubing, high enough that I only had to put it under my 3" foam topper. The part that slides under it is much longer than the part that sticks up. It is adjustable but I left it at the tallest ht. There is also a strap that attaches to the underneath piece and extends to the other side of the bed to secure the bedrail to the bedframe so it can't slip out from under the mattress. There is a pouch that you can place in the upper end of the rail for remotes, book, etc. I elected to leave that off since I have a bookcase headboard and 4 cats (cat fur on black fabric anyone?) All in all, I'm very happy with the usefulness of this rail and definitely think it is a good value for the money. I did note that IF I get rid of the topper and have to use it with a 16" mattress, it can be flipped to put the shorter side under the mattress with the strap securing it to the bedframe. That would bring the longer side up above the 16" mattress.

Strong bedside railing
Bought for my father who recently had a stroke. He uses 2, one on each side of bed to help pull himself up. He's 75 and doesn't need help. They work great. Material is strong, doesn't bend warp. Convenient pockets to hold few items is nice touch.

Safe and easy
This is without a doubt the best idea anyone has had. It was recommended to me by a nurse while we were in the hospital. It has been hugely helpful now because my husband uses it to steady himself getting into bed and can pull on it getting up, rather than on me! It has saved my back!. It is steady and very safe. Gettin up PT told him to put one hand on the rail and one hand on the walker. That way of the walker moves, you still have a hand on the bed rail. No legs to wobble. Best $ I have ever spent.

Great bedrail
Easy to install, sturdy. Nice pocket for a phone or a remote. It was extremely helpful when I was recovering from a vertebral fracture.

Easy to put together
The bag with parts was opened when received and everything was accounted for except the safety strap. The trouble shooting did not include missing parts so it looks like the only answer is to return it and order it again. It seems quite steady and strong without the strap so I'll give it a try before returning it. More to come. Update: I swear I looked under the bed and under furniture and could not find that safety strap. We'll, today, magically it appeared under my bed, LOL. I haven't used the strap yet because the bed cane appears to be solid enuf without it. My husband's occupational therapist recommended the bed cane and it has really helped getting him out of bed. She didnt recommend this particular brand but cost was a driving factor. I would recommend.
