Husband loves it
I was deciding whether to go with the rechargeable one, but I decided to get the battery-operated one because rechargeable batteries will eventually stop holding a charge, whereas you can simply replace the batteries in this one. I can’t speak to its longevity yet, but my husband loves it! It’s a no-brainer to use, and you can wash the parts after each use and let them dry. The fact that you can take care of everything all in one makes it worth giving it a try!

The Weed Whacker for Your Face Jungle
Let’s be honest: nobody wants to buy a nose hair trimmer. It’s not glamorous. Nobody brags at parties, “Guess what—I just bought a trimmer for my nostrils!” But one day, you catch yourself in the mirror, nostril hair waving back at you like a parade flag, and you realize: it’s time. That’s when the Philips Norelco 5000 Nose Trimmer enters your life. ⸻ First Impressions It looks sleek, modern, almost futuristic—like a tiny lightsaber designed exclusively for nose maintenance. The handle feels solid but not bulky, and the black-and-silver finish screams, “Yes, I am a sophisticated adult who refuses to let my face turn into a chia pet.” It even comes with attachments for eyebrows and ears, which is Philips’ polite way of saying: “Buddy, things are about to get hairy in places you didn’t expect.” ⸻ The First Use Turning it on is like summoning a tiny jet engine. The gentle buzz says, “Fear not, I was built for this.” Sliding it into your nostril for the first time feels… weird. Not painful, just odd—like inviting a miniature lawnmower into your personal breathing space. But then it happens: hair gone. Effortlessly. No tugging, no tears, no reenactment of a medieval torture scene. I pulled it out, checked the mirror, and gasped. My nostrils looked… civilized. For the first time in years, I could breathe without worrying I’d accidentally whistle through a jungle. ⸻ The Eyebrow Test Next up: eyebrows. I popped on the guard, gave them a quick pass, and suddenly I didn’t look like I was auditioning for a role as “Unkempt Villain #3.” Clean, neat, still manly, but no longer terrifying small children at the grocery store. ⸻ The Ear Hair Situation Ah, ear hair—the final betrayal of aging. I gave the trimmer a cautious try, and boom—gone. No pain, no drama, just silence where once there had been tufts of betrayal. For the first time, I felt like I might actually win the war against Father Time. ⸻ Everyday Use This thing is quick. We’re talking 30 seconds, tops, and you’re done. It’s like speed dating with personal hygiene: fast, efficient, and leaves you looking way better than when you started. I now keep it on the bathroom counter like a trophy. Guests see it and know I’m serious about life. Because nothing says “I have my act together” like a nose hair trimmer proudly on display. ⸻ Battery Life Runs on a single AA battery. And somehow, that one battery lasts approximately forever. I’ve been trimming weekly for months, and it’s still going strong. I think Philips hired wizards for this part. ⸻ Side Effects 1. Overconfidence: The first time I used it, I strutted around like I’d just gotten a Hollywood makeover. 2. Addiction: You start checking for hairs constantly. “Do I need to trim again? Better check… nope, still smooth.” 3. Dangerous Curiosity: I briefly wondered if it could trim chest hair patterns. (Spoiler: it can, but should it?) ⸻ Downsides Let’s be real—there aren’t many. The only “downside” is the awkward humility of buying one. You feel old. But the second you use it? You feel reborn. Also, it doesn’t play a victory song when you’re done, which feels like a missed opportunity. ⸻ Comparisons Without Norelco: • Nose hairs tickle every breath. • Eyebrows look like wings. • Ear hair whispers, “You’re aging, buddy.” With Norelco: • Nose clear like a freshly paved highway. • Eyebrows: tamed stallions. • Ear hair: deleted from existence. ⸻ The Emotional Arc This little device took me on a journey: • Before: Denial. “It’s not that bad.” • During: Shock. “Wait, this is painless?” • After: Triumph. “I’m a new man. A younger man. A BETTER man.” My confidence skyrocketed. I actually leaned closer to mirrors, daring the hairs to come back. They haven’t—yet. But I’ll be ready. ⸻ The Apocalypse Test If civilization collapses, this will be one of the last things I keep running. Forget lights or Wi-Fi—I’ll crank this little trimmer with solar panels if I have to. Because if I’m going down Mad Max–style, I’m going down with clean nostrils. ⸻ Final Thoughts The Philips Norelco 5000 Nose Trimmer is not just a grooming tool. It’s a rite of passage. It’s dignity in battery-powered form. It’s the line between “distinguished adult” and “man who looks like he hides birds in his nose.” Buy it. Use it. Cherish it. Your nostrils, your ears, your eyebrows—and everyone who has to look at you—will thank you. ⸻ Final Score: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars) • Nose Power: Flawless • Comfort: Zero pain • Battery Life: Eternal • Confidence Boost: Astronomical • Downside: Forces you to admit you’re officially old enough for nose hair

It does trim nose, ear, eyebrow, etc. hair, but not very close
I'm a little on the fence on this one. On the one side it does trim nose hair, ear hair, and with attachments other hair, but on the other side it's not a fast or close trim. It doesn't pull or get snagged up which is a plus, especially if you have nose hair like mine that in reality could be better handled with a chain saw. I'm comparing the trim with this device to an old similar trimmer but that had a longer and skinnier snout and required turning the bottom to power on. The old one gave a much closer trim and I believe was faster in doing so. This one requires a little finesse to position the blades at the proper angle to get even one hair. It seems in creating a smother shorter snout they also took away the ability to trim close, or get into tricky areas under the nose or the wrinkles in the earlobe. I don't know, I'll keep it but I may say okay enough is enough if I haven't been able to train myself to use this to get a satisfactory trim.

Gets the job done for a reasonable price
An excellent little trimmer for odd bits of hair here and there. I use it about once a week and the battery has lasted for a couple of months so far.

Lightweight, Effective, and Totally Worth the Money
I recently picked up the Philips Norelco Nose Trimmer 5000 (NT5600/62), and it’s quickly become my go-to tool for keeping nose hairs under control. For anyone who hates the bulky, awkward feel of some trimmers — this one hits the sweet spot: it’s wonderfully lightweight, easy to maneuver, and most importantly, completely painless and gentle; you hardly feel anything even when trimming deep inside. The design and feel stand out right away. It’s compact in the hand, so you don’t have that panicky “am I poking my brain?” sensation that some heavier trimmers give. That alone makes grooming sessions much easier and more comfortable — less second-guessing whether you’re being too aggressive or too hesitant. The shape and weight make it easy to steer just where you need. I appreciate the different trimming heads included in the kit — meant for nose, ears, and even eyebrows — though in practice I mostly use the standard head for nostril trimming because it’s simple, quick, and does a clean job. The versatility is useful if I need a quick tidy-up elsewhere, but for everyday use, one head is all I really need. Battery life has also been solid. I don’t feel like I’m constantly having to swap batteries, which is a major plus: the trimmer stays reliably powered, and I’ve never had the frustration of a mid-trim battery die mid-use. For a product at this price point, that’s impressive — and it makes the entire tool feel more premium than I expected. All in all: this is a great-value, practical, and reliable trimmer that actually lives up to what you want from a nose-hair trimmer. It gets the job done cleanly and comfortably, without unnecessary bulk or fuss. I’d absolutely buy it again — and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants an efficient, no-nonsense grooming tool.

Great All-in-One Grooming Kit
This Nose Trimmer is a very practical grooming tool that works well for nose, ears, and even eyebrows. The trimming is precise and, most importantly, gentle—no pulling or irritation, which is a big plus compared to basic trimmers. The different attachments make it versatile, especially for quick eyebrow touch-ups and cleaning up small areas. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and the build quality feels durable. Cleaning is simple since it’s fully washable, which makes maintenance hassle-free. Battery life is solid for regular use, and it’s convenient for travel as well. The only minor downside is that for very fine detailing, you may need a couple of passes—but overall performance is reliable. Overall, a great value grooming kit that gets the job done efficiently and comfortably. I loved the small pouch that came along to keep everything in one place.

Needs better instructions.
Looks,Ike an okay product once you figure it out. The instructions are in so many languages. The type is so small you can’t read them. you have to take off the little black cap at the very bottom of the instrument to get the battery in. It took me a while to figure it out and it’s really hard to takeoff. Go on YouTube for help.

At last..
I’ve always bought nose hair trimmers that are half the price of this and I’ve never been impressed. Some of them have had fantastic reviews, been good brands etc, but they’ve been.. okay. My latest one was losing its mojo completely and I decided to read some recipes etc, and this one stood out and some of the reviews sounded a bit like the I’m writing now. I’ve tried a bunch before and honestly, this one is WAY better!! I didn’t have to keep going over the same area only to find it hasn’t got the hairs, I didn’t get little tiny nicks, it didn’t pull, it didn’t hurt, it just did what it’s supposed to do easily and I am delighted I spent a bit more and got a product that actually works well. I was primarily concerned with a few little stubborn hairs at the base of my nostrils that no one else likely even notices, but they bug me. I have often had to make do with the job my nose hair trimmer has done, because they don’t really fully get them. This did it easily. Then I tried some of the other attachments, and it whizzed around those irritating hairs on my ears, without me risking accidentally trimming the hair on my head. That’s actually been a pain in the past as I have longer hair, but this actually did it work much more precision and I felt confident doing it. I tidied up around my beard and realised this is a great little product and I wish I’d bought one years ago.
