Well made popcorn machine. Easy to use. Plug it in, add oil then popcorn! I like the stirring mechanism and it’s quiet as it is running. I find that it does a great job of popping almost all the kernels and you can control how much you want to make. It’s also nice that the cover is your bowl. Easy to clean and store.

This is the 3rd Stir Crazy we have owned. Hopefully, it will perform like the first one, which lasted 15 years. The second one we bought lasted 18 months. So far, so good

This popcorn maker is perfect in every way. It has been updated so that the bowl fits right underneath the unit and is way more compact than it used to be but produces the same amount of popcorn. This one seems better made so that it won't crack like the old ones used to. And it only has the two pieces the lid and the base which make it a lot safer so that you don't burn yourself turning it over. This makes the freshest popcorn ever, and is comparable to popping it in a pan, but you don't have to shake this popcorn maker. I haven't had any burnt popcorn in this new design either. And it pops extra quick! It's very easy to use and very easy to clean you just wipe it out with a paper towel when you're done.

it works as described, popcorn come out cooked and nicely done. it’s very easy to use and there’s almost no noise just the popcorn popping, cleaning wise it’s fairly easy to dismantle and put back together, for the price i think it’s worth it but i definitely think they can improve in some sort of latch or something that holds the top part when cooking. (it doesn’t move) but it would b nice.

We have had 3 Stir Crazies, each lasting 8-10 years of constant use before they would finally give up the ghost. Therefore, when it came time to get a new one, we thought it was going to be great given our history. This was a huge disappointment. The red lid that covers the butter while it melts warped immediately. It just sits on top, sliding around, serving no real purpose since it is not possible to flip the bowl over without the butter spilling. The butter just doesn’t melt like it did with the other ones. I think that that is a function of the shape of the bowl. There is a lot of height and so perhaps not enough heat is reaching the butter. The bowl itself is very cheaply made; the plastic is significantly thinner and when you hold it the bowl itself flexes visibly. I am more careful washing this than I am with some China we inherited. A selling point was that this was going to store more compactly than the others did, but given the cord is attached it doesn’t quite meet expectations. It did make popcorn. But, so do open flames.

West Bend is BACK! I have used West Bend for over 20 years now. The old design was filled with flaws. After a few uses, it would not heat up enough to pop all of the kernels. Bought another one and the new one did the same thing. I saw this redesigned unit and told myself I would give them one last chance before I went to a different brand. This unit pops fast! I like the better design for tucking away the power cord. Also it handles popping the kernels evenly. The only thing I have negative to say is that some of the unpopped kernels will get stuck on the outermost lip of the inside of the unit. Easy to clean and the lid is dishwasher safe! Very happy with my purchase!

I've had three Stir Crazy models and this is the best. It does not leak oil through the bottom like the others did. The popping bowl is designed that the kernels stay in the bowl better and not hang up on the cover ledge as much. Its easy to use, seems durable, is not noisy, and stores easily in a cupboard.

ultimately what counts is the quality of popcorn made - should be big and fluffy, not the medium and chewy that this makes, but other than that this is easy to use and fun to watch

We have owned this popcorn maker for a little over 1.5 years. We use it frequently. It is still hot, fast and the coating is in good shape. We had many a maker, this is by far the best.
