Front Windshield Rubber Seals For Toyota 1984-88 Hilux 4-Runner LN50 Pickup

Great quality windshield gasket. This is intended for the non-USA market Toyota Hilux. For the USA and I think Canada pickups, they glued the windshields in place and used chrome trim pieces that clip into place. The glue in windshields are larger than the gasket windshields. To use a USA windshield with this gasket, you'd have to reduce the size of the glass 3/16" on each side and 3/8" on the bottom, then it fits good. I ended up buying two of these gaskets because I tried to cut and modify the first one with the intention of gluing in the windshield and using this as a molding instead of universal weatherstrip. That didn't work out, so I decided to sand down my new windshield and install it with this gasket. It was a bit of work to do, but it turned out great. If your thinking about converting from glue-in/chrome trim, to the rubber gasket seal, do some research first if your not familiar with the process.

This seal worked as a replacement for my 1989 Toyota 4runner. My glass guy said it was tight but he did not have to modify it at all. He did add a thin urethane sealant in the windshield channel as extra "insurance." A lot cheaper than anywhere else I found. No shaving the glass to make it fit. I took a chance on it and it worked!

Used this in my 88 toyota pickup to get rid of the beat up trim. Fun fact--You can not get a glass for rubber seal in the US. What I had to do is sand the edges 3/16" and the bottom ⅜" for a standard glass made for trim moldings. Fits good for me rubber is soft.
