well-made and comfortable
Our dog now carries water and food for her and our other dog on hikes and she loves her backpack. We've had problems in the past with harnesses pinching and rubbing her but this one is really adjustable and she's had no issues. She can run and leap freely while wearing this, even when carrying plenty of weight. Also she looks adorable in it. And it's very affordable compared to other options on the market! Recommend.

Well made product, but not right for our dog.
Bought this for our whippet when out on walks in the countryside. Being a whippet she has a habit of spotting sheep over 300 miles away and sprinting off after them, so we wanted a harness that was comfortable for her to be on the lead for the day and had a grab handle in-case she decided to walk over a cliff. And so she can carry her own water and poop. The harness itself is well made. The buckles are all robust and chunky enough to make doing the harness up not too much of a chore, but it did take a fair bit of trial and error to balance the tightness of each one to fit properly. There was a lot of excess to some of the leads so tucked them in for the first walk and trimmed them down when we got home. The pockets are robust and close securely, so no worries of anything getting lost. But for our dog it just isnt right. Being a whippet she has big lungs and a skinny tummy, so the harness just doesnt seem to sit properly. As such it tends to flop over to one side or the other when on the lead, so when have to stop and reposition it all the time. We also found that if we attached the lead to the steel ring at the back of the harness she wanted to pull more, I assume because she didn't feel the pressure on her collar as she would normally, so in her mind she was off the lead. This isnt a flaw with the product, but worth noting if your dog isnt used to it.Overall if you're happy buying a harness like this online, and it ends up fitting, then this would be great. It's well made and I can see it giving plenty of use. We'll probably give it away, as the fits not right for our dog, and head to a local store where we can try them on.Thanks for reading. Great for hikes, and probably for tiring out a particularly energetic pup
I got this so I could take my pup on longer trips and get him to carry some extra water for himself. Easy to get on, and he was very comfortable and happy in it immediately. The only issue is that you need to try and keep the loads of either side of the pack pretty evenly balanced, otherwise it starts to tilt. Sometimes Oz would do a big shake to rebalance it, but sometimes I'd stop to reposition it for him.I'd imagine this would be especially good for people with younger, more energetic dogs who are harder to tire out, as it definitely tires Oz out. Because of that (he's about 6 years old, and has arthritis though it hasn't curbed his enthusiasm for hikes), I didn't end up using it for longer hikes as it did leave him pooped sooner than usual, but have used it on our usual ones it has been great for that. He get loads of compliments on it when we run into people heading up our usual mountain.Oz is probably a hound/maybe some shepherd mix, wearing a medium

Good except for straps
It’s a good fit on the shoulders of my greyhound, but once any weight is in the pockets the straps loosen until it’s falling under his chest. I only put 250g in each pocket. To keep it in place I’ve had to knot every strap behind the buckles. Annoying

Awesome
Excellent harness, it has worked a treat in calming the doggo. I just added ankle weights to each pouch and hey presto much less pulling!!

Works Nicely
Have owned it for several months now and taken it out a couple times for hikes. My dog is a 75lbs shepherd mix who is pretty stout at the chest, with some adjustment to harness it fits perfectly and she has no problems with it. She actually likes it quite a bit and seems to feel important while wearing it haha. Not to mention she gets lots of compliments while wearing it (it is pretty cute with the bright color). Now that being said it does have some flaws. It does list heavily to one side unless you take care to perfectly balance the weight in both sides. Try matching water bottles on both side and try to keep their levels pretty close while using it. Also I wouldn't try to lift or hold a heavy dog by the handle. Or attach your leash to the harness itself, it is just not strong enough to be trusted like that. While climbing I grabbed the handle to help lift her while she climbed a large rock and immediately heard a tearing sound. I don't see any damage and I'll still use the pack. It works great to help her burn energy and keep my hands water bottle free. So for me I think it was worth the price even with its limits.

the handle was a god send lifting him easily over gates
Couldn't of been on our last holiday without this, our dog is a large westie, the handle was a god send lifting him easily over gates, rocks & onto boats

Excellent!
My dog max loves his backpack, usually kept for long walks, however I like him off the lead so tend to use this daily now as it's easy to grab in a hurry. Not so keen on attaching his lead to the buckle on this, I find it actually gives me a lot less control of him, he's a big dog - I prefer his lead attached to his collar and I can grab the harness too if need be. It's machine washable - I think - it's certainly been in there. Pockets are ideal for him to carry his own water BUT make sure its same weight each side of the bag will slip Only massive downside is that the zip broke on one side so can't use it. Now looking to buy another

Great vest
This vest is great for hiking. My dog appeared comfortable & had no issues wearing on a long hike. Was able to hold all her essentials like poop bags, extra leash & fold up water bowl.

Compra recomendable.

Don't listen to the bad reviews, this day pack is fabulous when used for it's intended purpose!
Now that we've used the pack, I'm really confused about some of the negative reviews here, so wanted to add my two cents, since the negative reviews almost stopped me from buying this. This is a fabulous day pack (we live downtown in a big city and it's perfect for our day trips and adventures, walking 1-3 hours on a normal terrain). It's a day pack, it's not advertised for use as a hunting or forest hiking pack, so I'm not sure why so many reviewers bought it for that purpose and then left bad reviews - there are more expensive and sturdy packs for those purposes. This pack does run a bit large - my boy is 37lbs and has a 24" chest, so according to the sizing charts a medium should fit him perfectly, however we had to tighten the medium a LOT and now the excess straps have to be wrapped and tucked in so they don't hang around his underbelly and trip him - I think a small would have fit him a lot better. It doesn't slide to the side as long as the weight in the pack is even on both sides, and it's VERY easy to put on and remove. I wasn't confused about the straps at all, like other reviewers were...it has the exact same type of adjustable straps as a human backpack has, and once the initial size adjustments are done, there are buckles on every strap to easily snap this on and unbuckle to remove it quickly and effortlessly. A lot of reviewers were critical about the pack sliding when their dog plays in it - we use this for walking distances in the city, and I remove it when we arrive at our destination, so my dog doesn't wear it when he's playing. The only negative feedback I have is that the straps can feel a bit rough rubbing against my dog's underbelly, so it would be nice if Outward Hound would consider adding a soft cover to protect the belly (like a seatbelt cover type material). However, this is an easy fix, if I sew on a piece of felt or cotton myself. A lot of people have complained about the D-ring coming off. I walk my dog with a collar/leash so cannot comment on the D-ring, since we'll never be using it. The materials are good quality and the straps are sturdy, and stay in place once they've been properly adjusted. Anyway, this is a fabulous purchase, if you buy it for the intended purpose. My dog seems comfortable wearing it, and the pockets are substantial enough to carry quite a few supplies, dishes, water, snacks, poop bags etc. It's everything I hoped it would be, and is fabulous for day trips around the city. I'm so pleased!

Carino ma non lo uso
Ben fatto, ma scivola da un fianco all'altro mentre il cane cammina quindi alla fine non lo uso mai :/ Peccato perché la qualità è buona

Perfekt
Lieferung aus den USA dauerte 14 Tage, also i.O.
