Sounds Great!
My mother wanted an under-the-counter CD player for her kitchen, but they seem to be difficult to find these days unless used. Knowing AIWA has been in the stereo business for decades, I decided to go with this unit. She LOVES it! We added a riser stand that the CD player sits on and she can keep some CDs underneath. The sound is surprisingly good for such a compact unit. It's quality built and has a nice weight to it. It's also very easy for her to use. The included remote control is a nice bonus so she can control it without having to walk over to it.

Good price, great sound
I'm a repeat fan of BOSE products, and honestly, I was shopping for another BOSE "Wave", hoping they still had a CD option available, because while 85% of my music is MP3, I still cling to some of my trusty old CDs.I kept seeing this AIWA speaker/CD player and gave it a shot, primarily because the price was very reasonable and if it wasn't great, no huge loss.Well...this unit surprised me. The sound is clear, the factory set bass is decent, and the little speakers have some sound carrying power to them, not to mention that the unit itself is fairly compact and not heavyweight.I think this little system is a good addition to anyone looking for something to play at house parties or stuff like that. There's a remote control for those lazier moments, too.An added bonus: there's Bluetooth available on this system, and you can also link other devices to it (IPods/MP3 players, as well as sound for your TV), per the instructions.Overall, I'm glad I got this AIWA, and my credit card didn't hurt so much with the purchase price either.

The sound is fine; radio preset programming is impossible.
Like many other reviewers, I bought this to replace my defunct fifteen-year-old Bose Wave. The sound of the Aiwa is fine; the CD player functions well. The radio also sounds good...BUT, as many others have noted, loading the radio presets is difficult to impossible. I spent 45 minutes trying to put in my go-to stations, only to have the presets not work. I tried again another day; still no-go. If I want to change radio stations, it's a process of continuous clicking on the remote. (Maybe Aiwa needs to talk to Bose about remote design, too...)

Would def recommend
Very impressed with the sound and features. I wanted a Bose and didn’t want to spend that much money. This sounds as good as Bose Waves that I’ve heard. Would recommend. Sound quality is good. Size is perfect.

Replace your old Bose
Super device. Sound is great. The remote has decent range. It has the ability to do radio and CDs. Much of my music collection is on CD, so it's nice to be able to use it. I haven't played with the Bluetooth much, but looking forward to streaming too.

lack of Bluetooth connection.
Good sound is the main reason I give this 3 stars. Also the CD player seems to work well. It plays factory CDs just fine and mostly played re-recorded ones, sometimes with a few skips, but they were pretty old so that may be the problem with the skips. Unfortunately there were 2 major problems that had me decide to return the Aiwa Home Bedroom Speaker. The fm preset tuner stops were very difficult to program. I think there is probably a quick easy way to do it, but the directions are so sketchy I spent hours and only got 2 stations programed. Reception also seemed pretty weak. The second problem I had was getting the Bluetooth to pair. I could not get it to pair with my Iphone and there does not seem to be a way to connect to ear phones? I tried contacting Aiwa's webpage for support, but never got an answer?? The product information link on Amazon did not help either and lumped several products together, making it a little difficult to tell what to do with the specific one I bought. I would suggest they put up a YouTube video on how to set this unit up. I looked and found a couple short reviews, but no set up videos.

Easy to use and good CD quality
This is a product by the well-known Japanese AIWA brand. It still has the Aiwa quality, just not as much as years ago. It's slightly pricey but does deliver a good sound and real simplicity of use. This was bought to replace my kitchen CD/fm player.. no easy task to find these days, but I like this product which was a perfect replacement unit. I'm listening to it now as I write and it does well from even 20 feet away. I did not give it 5 stars because hubby feels it's slightly under powered("seems less that 30 watts RMS") and has no treble/bass adjustments. I feel the sound is just lovely despite this but it is still pretty pricey at $150. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to still use their cd's and want a "better" experience than the run of the mill discount store units. Easy to set up, easy to use and fm reception is good also. Cheers!
