Amplifier Only?
The test was simple and very short. I think it was based on volume only and did not consider high vs. low frequencies. I need to know more about frequency recognition before I buy the hearing aid. I have very little problem with volume but don't understand some words in high tone frequencies. I would like to question someone who knows the technical aspects of this device.

Matched Professional Audiologist Results in my Doctor's Office
This hearing test is easy to use and FDA-Cleared, because it tests accurately the degree of hearing loss in the 4 most important sound frequencies. I am about to order the iHear Max behind-the ear-units and the iHear programming device. This will enable me to adjust the iHear Max to calibrate a boost in volume in the voice frequency ranges where I have hearing loss. This is the functionality that costs thousands of dollars working with a professional audiologist. -- a cost preventing millions from obtaining the hearing aids that would make their lives better. (I own a pair of audio amplifiers with adjustable direction and volume, however they cannot be adjusted to compensate for my specific hearing loss).

Was not correct
I did this test at home as all the directions said to. I showed not earing issues at all. Hummm when to the hearing doc and he did his test and he stated that I had lost some of the very high pitch sounds in both ears. So just be aware and always go to doctor.
