Our current Delta touch faucet will turn itself off if left on for more than a few minutes.  Will this Moen do the same thing?

When you Wave Sensor-Motion your hand over the Wave Sensor on the side of the faucet, the water will continue to run until you wave your hand over the Wave Sensor again to turn it off. Does the sensor work well? It's a wave to turn it on, correct? And not that you have to hold you hand there? Do you have to wave your hand to turn off

Hello and thank you for your interest in the Moen Align MotionSense Wave Sensor Touchless Once-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet.  To operate the faucet using the sensor, simply wave your hand over it to turn it on; you do not need to continually hold your hand over the sensor.  The water will shut off automatically after 2 minutes if you do not choose to wave your hand over the sensor to turn it off.
