I think they are about an inch long. They are the typical size of a normal makeup sponge. Just as a heads up though they come as one block and you have to slightly rip them apart.

About how many times useages per sponge last ?

This may not help but I use them to apply polish to my shoes. For that one sponge for two to three pair of shoes. Sorry.
