This thermometer does not regulate temperature accurately (if at all). I have wild temperature spikes in my aquarium. Ideally I’d like my aquarium to be 76 to 78, but if I set the heater’s thermostat to 78 I get temps in excess of 90 degrees as measured with a calibrated thermometer.I thought the heaters thermostat was just reading low, so I set the heater to 73, and for several days it’s maintained 78 as read with the calibrated thermometer.However, this morning my calibrated thermometer was 89 degrees but the heater was still saying it was 74 degrees and set for 73. The water felt much warmer than usual and there is a milky haze in the tank (likely a bacteria bloom overnight).I unplugged this heater and initiated a return.

These heaters are 100 times better then glass heaters . Of you are having touble with algea in you tank woth glass heaters trade them out for these .

This is a good product for the price

Love it. So much easier setting it to a specific temperature. Not having to guess what setting toy have is worth the money alone.

Only lasted for a couple of months. The thermostat says the timer I set but you can feel the water is cold and when I held the heater it was not warm or anything

I got this heater to replace my Fluval. It was having trouble maintaining a consistent temp. This heater is fantastic. It's smaller than the Fluval, black and unobtrusive in the tank, and the heater is maintaining 75 degrees in 15 gallon tank at night when the room is down to 55 degrees.
