Dermalogica Stabilizing Repair Cream, Sensitive Skin Moisturizer

Products are not the same on everybody. but definitely this one makes my face feel so smooth and manageable and non-greasy.

This was very helpful for calming my skin. I'm 71 and just recently developed rosacea symptoms , along with my already sensitive and dry skin.

This moisturizer has already out performed my prescription steroid ointments and moisturizer in less than one day! In 12 hours, my hairline eczema sores and crusty patches were less red and irritated. After 24 hours? Hydrated skin along my hairline and no longer experiencing any redness or raised little itchy bumps. Pricey, but so was all of my prescription strength stuff. The pump is great and it makes it easy to get the right amount. The moisturizer feels luxe, goes on smoothly and dries fairly quickly. Also bonus points for not slipping and sliding underneath my makeup (gripping primer + full face longwear foundation + setting spray). I’ll be keeping this one around for sure!

After trying 17 products this one is the first one to keep the itching at bay for long periods of time, i haven't used it long enough to know if it clears it up completely to give it 5 stars but I will say this is the best product to help me so far!!! (I think my arm is starting to look better after 3 days....fingers crossed)

This stuff is expensive but gives you quick results if you are in need of barrier repair after sun exposure or, in my case, an adverse (irritated) reaction to a Vitamin C mask. I have super sensitive skin that can be unpredictable and products can on occasion cause issues that hadn’t been a problem before. I pair this with the Cetaphil recovery serums once or twice a week or as needed to get my skin back to healthy/soft status. As a pale guy with a long history of getting sun damage even with precautions like using high SPF, this stuff is a great staple for keeping on track and minimizing irritation and redness.

This has been my dream product. I used to use dermalogica for years as I was introduced to them since training in beauty but for whatever reason I moved to something else. I believe it was because I done instagram reviews and made a PR list of a product I really wanted to try. Long story short I found my way back to the brand and was amazed at all the new products they released since I trained with them in their training centre. I made an order with them for a small order but ended up adding this one to my rotation because it popped up on my recommended list on here, and I’d just done a chemical peel, so if you know anything about peels, then you know you just need super nourishing and repairing. So I got this to use along with the calming products and I was amazed by just how quickly my skin bounced back from the peel. Normally you get that tight sensitive skin when you make any type of facial expression as it was a medium/deep peel vs a superficial one. It stopped me from that dreaded irritation/itch you get before you’re about to shed like a snake. Since that peel I’ve used it to heal from microneedling, that’s sped up the turnaround before I can add back in active ingredients. I’ve also used it on irritation days when I started tretinoin, if anyone uses tretinoin you know that it takes some getting used to and during prescription %, and for those who dont it’s basically retinol in it’s truest form which is much much more strong that over the counter retinol. So you go through irritation like your face is tight, red, hot, inflammed until your skin is accustomed to it. This has just been my skin saviour because I just like to go wild with active ingredients and notoriously I went crazy using acids and treatments and retinol etc. Being beauty trained I do chemical peels, microneedling so you need to use more calming ingredients on down days to heal from those, so there will always be a regular monthly need for this product. Even if you don’t have a complicated skincare system this is lovely for anyone with compromised skin from eczema, psoriasis, rosace, sunburn, windburn, the list is endless and it can be really nourishing and calming on a daily regular basis. While this is so nourishing and calming, it does it while not feeling heavy or greasy. It just sinks into the skin and gives that glass like natural highlight in all the right places.
