Multipurpose Cellulose Kitchen Sponge, 2 Pack, - VP2, color may vary, Blue/Green

I've been looking for the 2 Pack 6 x 3.6 Sponge. It seems none of my local grocery stores carries them anymore. So I was pleased to find them on Amazon. It's the perfect size. Makes cleaning up spills very easy.

They say everyone learns what they learn from their family and their growing up years. Some people's moms use washrags, some use those Swedish dish cloths. My mom used cellulose sponges - the BIG ones (that are very hard to find in stores nowadays). These sponges are thick, extremely useful, work with plain water, dish soap, or cleaning liquids. They rinse well, and last a long time. I always keep one handy, they're perfect to make cleanups quick! 👍

These sponges are quite good, but not as durable as the Scotch-Brite/Ocelo sponges of the same size. Lately it has been impossible to find the cellulose kitchen sponge size Scotch-Brite/Ocelo call "Utility Sponges" in stores. I LIKE THE UTILITY SPONGE SIZE BEST BECAUSE THEY ARE NICE AND THICK.These Hydra Sponge Company kitchen sponges are high quality sponges. They are very absorbent, and they last for about two weeks of daily use before they start to develop "cracks" and gradually begin to rip apart. The Scotch-Brite/Ocelo Utility sponges last much longer, usually two or more months before they gradually begin to rip apart. The dimensions are exactly the same as the Scotch-Brite/Ocelo "Utility" sponges except that they are slightly thinner. The difference in thickness is small. The price for two sponges was only $2.99.It is strange that the Scotch-Brite/Ocelo "Utility Sponges" are absent in stores lately. Most of the sponges found in stores these days are the kind with scouring pads fused to one side. This type is worthless to me because the attached scouring pad reduces the absorbency of the sponge. I therefore prefer to keep my scouring pads separate from my kitchen sponges. (I cut them with scissors into 1 1/2" wide strips.) The sponges without scouring pads still commonly found in stores are too thin.The Scotch-Brite Ocelo Utility Sponge size is for now still stocked and available on amazon but at a very high price. A two pack of these sponges shipped and sold by amazon is currently priced at $6.68 which is quite expensive, but perhaps worth it for the extremely high quality compared to the Hydra Sponge Company sponges. I think these sponges have been discontinued by the manufacturer, and that what is still available is old stock acquired by amazon before they were discontinued.Based on all the customer reviews of this product, it is clear that there is a large number of people (probably millions of people) who miss the availability of the Utility Sponge size in stores. I would like to know who the 3M executive is who made the very unpopular and bad decision to discontinue the Utility Sponge size. This executive should be fired immediately!

I’ve been buying the Ocelo 7243-T sponges for years. But finding them has become impossible and when I do the price has more than doubled (I actually have a case of these on back-order for nearly a month.) So, I decided to try this brand cellulose sponge and it’s exactly the same as the Ocelo. And they seem to be available with no problem and at a very good price.

Love these sponges. I used to be able to buy them at my neighborhood grocery store. Not anymore. Found these and they are the perfect size. I always use two sponges. One is for my floors to clean up messes and the other is for my counter tops. Now if I could get my boyfriend to just remember which one to use on the floor I’d be in Heaven.

This is a regular sponge used in the kitchen, exactly as advertised and expected. It works great.

These sponges are just the right size for cleaning in your kitchen. I do not like a scrubby on my sponges and these were perfect. It is more about the size. I haven’t had them long enough to say how durable they are. If they hold up, I will definitely purchase again.

Used to really like this product but the last two orders of sponges just start to deteriorate after a couple of days of use. Pieces just start falling off and for some reason they split on the side. Good price but not if you only get a few days per sponge
