great cooler that works 100% as expected
i needed a cooler that was around 6" at most and this one seemed about right. its a perfect fit for this build. the cooler was easy to install and the LEDs are very bright and work well. temps on my cpu are muuuuuch better over the weak stock cooler it came with. runs pretty quiet and a great value

Great cooling at a budget for mid to highish power CPU's
Used this to replace an AMD Wraith Prism cooler I was using on my 5700x. Used to get up to 79c when gaming but after replacing with this it hasn't gone past 68c with any benchmark or game but I live in Florida and keep my AC at 78 so I'd say that's a pretty solid upgrade. It can likely keep the 5800xd at bay I'd imagine but will likely not be in the 60s. I don't have much experience with Intel and whether or not they run higher or lower temps but I imagine the results would be similar based on wattage. I know Ryzen usually idles kind of high, I typically idle around 40-50 just because of the way it fluctuates.Aside from performance, the RGB looks really nice but might be annoying to get working correctly with iCUE. That could be because I use ASUS though... I know there are usually issues with getting ASUS boards/gpu's to work right with iCUE. Just a warning for those fellow ASUS/Corsair users lol. Installation was easy, put the CPU plate on and screw down two screws. Uses the stock backplate and the installation is a breeze so that's good. Comes with thermal paste but it's not highly rated so I didn't use it. Clears all RAM on most if not any boards I'd imagine, its very far back after installing. If you're looking for something cheap and aren't running a CPU that uses more than like 125W this should be a solid upgrade if you're using like a stock or some other low end heatsink. It's better than stock in probably any case so there's that.

Great value would buy it again
For the price it is great quality and after months of use I haven’t had any issues. I’m running an i5 on modern games and my temps never get high enough to note nor do I ever notice the sound. Would buy it again for my next build.

Quiet performance and excellent quality
Installing the Thermalright Assassin Spirit 120 EVO was quick and easy. The ARGB fan not only looks amazing but also operates quietly, keeping my CPU at excellent temperatures even under load. The build quality feels solid, and the black design perfectly complements my setup. I appreciate its compatibility with various Intel and AMD platforms, which adds versatility. Overall, an efficient, quiet cooler that offers great value for the money.

Efficient and quiet
I’m able to keep my heat uptake down and keep the noise down as well. It fit nicely into the case I selected, the quality of the fan is quite efficient as well, and it mounted perfectly in my case with my giant GPU (a 4060 series, and those can be pretty hefty). It goes well together with the schema of my build, and was a fantastic price point for quality hardware. It is a versatile piece, so I was able to get the same fan for both my sons’ builds and it went smoothly with mounting it, and works just as well for my sons’ as it does for me, in three separate configurations of builds. Totally worth the money.

Good Cooler, Bad Paste
I bought this cooler for an i5-8400 CPU. Not a very powerful guy. Little 65w 6C/6T CPU.Mounting was okay. Only issue I see is that the mounting brackets do hinder the retention arm of the CPU socket a little. Just have to maneuver around it when installing. Screwing the heatsink tower down is fairly straightforward and easy as well. The motherboard I used for this build unfortunately did not have an ARGB header, so I ended up swapping the fan out for a non ARGB fan. The fan clips are a little tight/hard to deal with, but once you get them seated, you're good.At the time of building, I had misplaced my thermal paste(s), so I decided to use the included solution. This was a mistake. It was difficult to apply and didn't want to spread. I got it to sit on the CPU and closed everything up. Idle temps were....not good. The i5 was idling around 40-45c, and under full load was at 68c. Was sort of bummed out with the performance. I did end up pulling the cooler off and repasting it with a different name-brand paste, and the CPU now idles at 25c while hitting about 53c under full load. When I went to repaste the CPU, the original paste had dried up and become chalky. This was in a span of a month. So, it may have been old stock or its just bad thermal paste. Knocking one star off for that. After repasting though, I'm pretty happy with the results.

Great Budget CPU Cooler.
Had zero issues fitting this to my son's computer. He has a AMD 5600 (AM4)and I switched the OEM AMD Fan with this one within a few minutes. Works great, keeps the cpu cool and isn't relatively quiet compared to the AMD Fan with coil whine. For the price and fit I can't complain.

Works great, AM4, 5600x
Works great in my aging AM4 system, no complaints. If you are replacing a wraith cooler, the noise level improvement is only moderate.
