I like it the only thing was I heard it for my compressor that I got from harbor freight it said it was supposed to fit but it wasn't the correct thread type I had to alter it to make it work but it does

This valve on my compressor had gone faulty and would not seal. While the unit was not an exact part replacement it worked just the same and got my compressor back up and working.

I needed to replace the valve in my Central Pneumatic air compressor. Since Harbor Freight doesn't list any replacement parts, I took a chance on this. While the threads looked very similar, I only managed to get it inserted about half way. I was too worried about stripping the threads or cracking the cast aluminum head. It took a couple tries since the temp was very cold and the oil in the compressor was very stiff, but it's working well so far.

This is a must buy and an upgrade from the MFG part.The MFG part, my compressor would not start in any cold weather. It would start and then pop the trip and I have to reset the power on it.Once I replaced the old part with this one it starts up in any weather.I should have done this years ago.

These should be on all compressors. I bought this because my ultra quiet compressor was pulling to many amps on startup for my generator. I bought a Menards brand compressor that featured the same motor as the California Air Tools 10020 unit- but was puzzled why the start up amps were too many for my 3500 watt generator. This simple valve fixed the problem. The California air tools compressor has the easy start valve installed from the factory. You can buy this valve and a couple of adapters and save some money over buying the California air tools unit. The Menards and Lowes ultra quiet 20/26 gallon units have very similar/same motors, and are less expensive.

This part does not fit the Harbor Freight McGraw 20Gal compressor. The thread per inch is not compatible. Nothing wrong with it than I can other than is won't fit.

Bought for Harbor Freight 21 Gallon compressor because of description and another reviewer stating it solved their problem.See Pictures, original Cold Start Valve on the left.First, the outside of the threads on this are slightly larger (less than 1/32 inch or 0.7mm ) than the original so it could only be threaded in about 1/4 of the way.The original valve has an exposed tip that sticks out a little so the valve can be manually opened.And lastly, it didn't help with the compressors startup problem.I've given this a one star review so that others will read this review and because I'm stuck with this since (despite being "Amazon Choice and Prime") free returns aren't offered and so it would cost more to return the item than it cost.

My 21 gallon compressor would not start when full of air. It would not restart when in the middle of a task. This was the culprit, and easy to swap out. A new cold start valve and all is a-okay!
