Great stereo for the price! I’ve been really happy with this stereo so far. My favorite features are the wireless Apple CarPlay and the amount of customization you can do with the display and settings. Everything feels pretty straightforward to use once it’s installed. If you email their Facebook page they will actually send you a file to customize boot logos and wallpapers. The installation was fairly easy, and the included instructions were actually helpful, which made the process much smoother. Installing the backup camera wasn’t difficult either. The camera quality has been better than I expected—the picture is clear and bright, even in lower-light situations. Overall, I’m very impressed with it for the price. It’s a nice upgrade and has worked great for me so far. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable CarPlay stereo!

I recently installed the **PLZ 7" Wireless Double Din Car Stereo (MP-928W)** in my **Ford Expedition EL XLT**, and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the performance and features of this unit! #### 📦 **Installation Experience** The installation process was straightforward, but like with any aftermarket stereo, it required some effort to wire everything properly. I used **heat shrink tubing and soldering** to ensure a strong, long-lasting connection. The included wiring harness worked well, though I did have a couple of **unused wires** that the instructions didn’t mention (notably the **Blue/White wire**). The **Violet/White wire** was for the backup camera, which I figured out later. For mounting, I used the **Metra Double Din Dash Kit**, but it didn’t quite fit perfectly. I had to **remove the top plastic trim from the stereo and modify the dash kit** by cutting the four end pieces that were preventing the unit from sitting flush. This wasn’t an issue with the stereo itself—just a compatibility quirk with my particular dash kit. Giving 4 stars for the overall unit. Built quality, clarity, hardware speed, UI, etc. Pros: This stereo functions very well. Fast: You can tell the internal hardware is beefed up. The unit is very responsive. The screen quality and clarity is great. The EQ features are decent and allow for intermediate adjustments. Plenty of inputs for different setups. The 4CH RCA input was the main motivator for the purchase. Install was easy. You will need to purchase a double din dash kit as well as the module to utilize your vehicles steering wheel controls. This is common and should not be looked at as a negative. I installed this without issue into my 2003 Silverado. Cons: If you are looking for a true Android based head unit that allows for plenty of freedom and accessibility such as: Theme Customization, File Manager, App Store access for utilizing apps, this unit is NOT for you. I do not like having to contact CS for software support and updates, though they were very responsive through their support page on Facebook Messenger. There is no WiFi / Hot Spot features which is a set back for me. Additionally, PLZ pushes the Screen mirroring features pretty hard ... You CANNOT stream Netflix, HBO Max, Peacock, Amazon Prime. The only thing I've been able to get working were apps that do not risk any type of Copy Right Infringement. CS confirmed that the above streaming apps would not work because of Copy Right Infringement concerns. I get it, but because of that and my need for such features (Use my truck to travel and have additional screens on my head rests). I need to be able to stream video as needed and don't like that this head unit restricts it. I did know going into the purchase that some of these things may be an issue but wasn't 100% on the extent. That said, I will have to return this unit. Conclusion: If you are just wanting a head unit with a larger screen, fast and dependable UI, Apple Carplay or Android Auto, multiple input options for your sound system, a decent EQ, user friendly and don't mind any of the cons listed above, then this unit is for you.

Installed this unit on my D40 nissan frontier (2012) and it has been a fantastic upgrade!. I have used it mostly for onX off-roading and works flawlessly. All harnesses were labeled well, so it was not hard to wire. you will need to have a wire harness adapter if you are using on an older D40 frontier. I already had one, so it was not a problem for me (harness from another nissan vehicle I had before) The touchscreen is pretty responsive. and also it is nice to have the extra touch buttons on the side, although I do wish It would have a knob for the volume. this connects quite well to my Galaxy Phone, did not had any stutters or disconnects so far, gotta test with an iPhone, I'd assume works just as well. totally would recommend this unit. has been great for me, got compliments from family and friends =)

This headunit is AWESOME. Tons of features, CarPlay, and a huge bright high res display. What more could you want. The wireless CarPlay connects super fast, and the headunit is easy to setup as long as you know how to do a little wiring. The customer service was amazing as well, I messaged PLZ on their Facebook page. They got right back to me, helped me, and also offered to help me do an update on my headunit. They even helped me install my own custom audio wallpaper to it as well. These guys are awesome. Good luck finding customer service anywhere else like this. I looked at a ton of other headunits before buying this, I even looked at some “name brand” Sony, pioneer, jvc, units that are similar to this style. All of those were double to triple the price. This performs just as good if not better than most, and the display is better looking. And the display bezel will fit into the design and form language of most modern ish cars.

I really wasn't expecting much for the price and was surprised. First is the quality of the display. It is as clear and bright as a Pioneer that I have. I haven't seen another even for double the rice that has wireless android auto which worked flawlessly. In my truck, I replaced a Kenwood with this and it sounds better than the Kenwood. I have no idea what these sound like without amps connected to them. Both have a 2 channel subwoofer amp and a 4 channel for the speakers. The only thing that seemed cheap was the plastic plugs for the power and speakers and I didn't use the speaker plug because I used the RCA Jack's to feed the amps. I would say I'd buy again, but I already bought again. I haven't had them long, so I'll have to see how long they last. I guess I forgot to hit the submit button. This is written about a month after the paragraph above. I did have a few issues like poor FM radio reception and BlueTooth randomly not connecting. I got in touch with customer support. They were quick to reply, knew their products, and very helpful. They directed me to the firmware update which was very easy to install. The update greatly improved my FM reception. I haven't driven either car enough after the update to comment on the other issues. I've bought quite a few car stereos over the years, but have never bought one with so many extra features at a fraction of the price. A name brand stereo costs around $1000 and these were $220. Even with the few issues I've had, these are worth the money and I would buy again. I'm thinking about replacing the Pioneer touchscreen in my 4runner with one of these. The 7" display seems tiny after using these. All the systems have at least 2 external amplifiers and if the Pioneer has better sound, I can't tell the difference.

First, this unit has really good navigation. It's considerably better than the JBL LEGEND that I have installed in my truck. The fact this thing is wireless is incredible for the price. Also for the price, the backup camera and front camera quality is very decent and it can even be adjusted. Another good thing about this screen is that it's pretty snappy going through the menus and starts up relatively quickly. So if those things are what you're looking for, buy it. Now, here's what I would include: This unit has an EQ, but it's global and tops out at 16khz, not 20khz. This is super awful if you have independent amplifiers for subs and door speakers. Global means when you adjust the frequencies on the screen, it applies it to ALL of the speakers with no separation. This is terrible because you don't want low end going to tweeters and midrange speakers, or mids to high, so on and so forth. You also have to be ULTRA careful with your subwoofer settings because there's no option on screen to adjust them AT ALL. Make sure you have a boost knob handy. So, you'll need to buy crossovers separately and be very careful with how you set your amplifier dials. Also, the preout power is only 2v (not a huge deal, but 4 is obviously better). One of the things I'm disappointed with is there is zero time alignment capability. That would be a massive improvement. Also, be aware that my unit (this might be specific to me and just bad luck) has a ton of signal noise. It sounds like a ground loop buzz. I assure you with 1000% confidence my equipment and wiring is installed correctly and not the issue here. I run 0 gauge with shielded cables, Big 3, X2 AGM, and high output alternator. If you are reading this and don't know what that means, you'll be fine. It's certainly well beyond overkill and not what "normal" people need to properly operate this radio. So, all-in-all this is a good enough system for folks that just want to drive, not get lost, and listen to music. But for people that want a little more control of their system and audio experience, this ain't the one. I'd really recommend the JBL LEGEND for sheer music quality and options, but that navigation issue IT has is god-awful. It's basically unusable a lot of the time. I digress. The PLZ is good, but is seriously lacks the finer details and that NOISE sucks, bad. For you audio freaks, it starts clipping around 32-33 with flat EQ on the volume, FYI. You cannot set the DB curve either.
