I don't often review my purchases or rate an item at 5 stars but this item is everything you need to help prevent identity theft, from the garbage stream. This device is perfect for those items that cannot be shredded. To make a long story short, about 5 years ago I had my identity stolen, as did many neighbors in the area. It was believed that our garbage may have had letters, bank statements, prescription bottles, checks, etc… that may have had some of our vital information like date of birth, account numbers, taxpayer ID number, etc. From that point I shredded anything going into the garbage that had my name, address, account number, etc. But somethings could not be shredded like prescription labels, which often were adhered to plastic bags. Those prescription labels on bags had date of birth and some pharmacy labels were so tacky they gummed up the paper shredder. In addition, most shipping labels were hard to peel-off and dropped into a shredder. This Ink roller does what I needed to do and it helps conceal vital data instantly without peeling, cutting, shredding or futzing around with the labels that you don’t want going into the garbage or recycling bin. On top of that, at first I wasn’t sure if the ink was indelible... solvent or water soluble, and if it could be washed off or had a texture color that would make the underlying information bleed through. Sure enough I tested water, alcohol, and a few other solvents and the masking ink and pattern is 100% indelible!!! Works!!! A great addition to shredding for the purpose of destroying any vital information from entering the garbage or recycling stream.

Just what I was looking for! This ink info blotter works great! I take a lot of prescription medication and trying to eliminate the information on the stick on labels was aggravating! With this ink roller it covers the info with ease! It has a roller that spreads the ink with a single pass covering anything you don’t want read after disposal! Comes with extra ink.
