A great sounding and well-designed portable speaker / karaoke system
First (and most importantly) the sound is fantastic. The bass sounds good both with the bass boost on and off. Had a chance to test it outdoors while doing a little work on my car yesterday (a bit too cold here to be at a beach or park right now) and it sounded great and was easily loud enough to overcome the sounds of the engine and a tire inflator even tho I had it 10-12 feet away from the back of the car (so another 14-15 feet to the front of the car). The speaker itself feels very solidly constructed and looks quite nice. I like the cutout handles on each end as well as the shoulder strap. The strap itself is not padded, but the attachment is quite nice, and the unit isn't really heavy enough that a padded strap is needed. There is also a standard 35mm (1-3/8") speaker stand mounting hole (like you'd find in most PA speakers) in case you wanted to elevate it on a stand. When the tablet is closed, the design is very clean with only the controls that matter for listening to music shown (buttons for power, bass boost, input, and bluetooth, with rollers to adjust volume and lighting). The built-in 13.3" tablet is a pretty basic and runs a version of Android 13, but is quite functional as the tilt/swivel mount allows it to be positioned easily, and it is nice that it can flip and fold down over the top of the unit for transport or when just using it as a bluetooth speaker. There are a few apps and shortcuts pre-installed on the tablet, including a media player for local files, Spotify, YouTube, a couple of karaoke apps, and a few other things. (No Netflix pre-installed on my unit, but you can easily download/install from an appstore if you wanted to.) The microphones are conveniently rechargeable and fit nicely into their storage/charging ports under the folded down tablet (instead of sticking out or attaching to the side as on most other portable karaoke machines). The microphones are mostly plastic and fairly light, but they sound good and don't have too much handling noise. The microphone charging ports and controls for the microphone modes are the only things found beneath the tablet. It is nice that there are knobs for manually selecting the amount of reverb and to adjust bass and treble, as well as a button to turn on "ducking" (which is useful when using the unit as a PA system for music and announcements) If you need more than 2 microphones, there are two 1/4 inch microphone (or guitar) inputs under a rubber cover in the back. They worked fine with either a 1/4" wireless microphone receiver (mine supports 2 wireless microphones, so that would allow 4 singers) or a standard microphone with an xlr-1/4" cable. Other ports beneath this cover include one HDMI, one USB-A, a microSD card slot, an 1/8" stereo input, and an 1/8" headphone output. The media player can play audio and video files from both the USB and the microSD (as well as from internal storage). The smaller rubber cover just contains the ac power connection -- which is conveniently just a standard "figure-8" power cord. I am also very pleased with the runtime on the built-in battery. After using it as a bluetooth speaker outside for a couple hours (while working on my car), I figured I'd see how good the battery life was, so kept playing music (via bluetooth) while making and eating lunch, then tested/played with the various features and settings and installing software for a couple more hours, then did a bit of karaoke and mic testing, streamed music directly off the tablet while making and eating dinner, connected the unit to a 4K tv and then decided to test playback of music and videos from microSD and USB storage, and ended up watching a movie that was on the USB flash drive (totally legit copy of the movie, since the digital copy was a dono reward from my friend's kickstarter for the movie). All in all it was probably about 10hrs of actual runtime (within 11.5-12hrs of actual time) running completely on battery before the 20% remaining low battery warning popped up Overall, I think the Ikarao has done a great job of choosing the features and design of the Break X1, and this unit would be an excellent choice for anyone needing a portable party speaker as well as someone looking for an all-in-one karaoke system (or even a small battery-powered PA system). Even if I were being super picky, the only thing I could really nitpick is that the knobs for the manual mic adjustment (reverb, treble, bass) are "backwards" (turn to the left to increase, right to decrease). Also, I wish they could've used combo XLR+1/4" jacks for the microphone/guitar inputs -- mainly cuz I have plenty of XLR microphone cables, but only a couple of XLR-1/4" cables, so it took awhile to locate them when I was testing -- not sure there's room in the current location for combo jacks tho (maybe just 1 combo jack could fit?). Reality is this is probably a fairly niche feature for most people tho since most will just use the included wireless mics and most of the few that would add a mic could use a mic with a 1/4 plug. tl;dr: if you're thinking about it, just go ahead and get it -- two thumbs up!

The Rolls Royce of Portable Karaoke Machines!!!
Wow this speaker is something else! It's a game changer! I do host Karaoke for a living and I am always looking for new fun Karaoke things, especially for when I travel or do small events, or even to send out for rental systems. I stumbled onto the iKarao Break X1 on Social Media and knew that I had to try it. When I got it I was so excited to start playing with it. It does take time to set up the Apps and get to know the controls but it was also very easy to to setup. Not only does it run Karafun, but also can run Starmaker, Smule, Singa Karaoke, Netflix, YouTube and more. The App Store has a lot of options as well. First off this speaker sounds incredible! You can adjust the bass and the treble volume. What's really cool is the two microphones hide away and recharge in the unit. You can adjust the mic volume on the actual microphones, as well as add effects thru a quick button on the mic. You also have more effects on the Speaker. Mixing the Mic and Music is very easy. It has a very nice touch screen tablet and can also output to a TV via HDMi and also thru a VideoCaster. You can plug in your guitar, additional Mics, you can bluetoont your phone or computer, and you also can insert a MicroSD card and/or Thumb drive. There are a few apps also that can help you record yourself while singing. This is one of the most versatile speakers I have seen. It can be mounted on a speaker pole, it has a long lasting battery, and a carrying strap. I decided to put it to the ultimate test and invite some friends to our local bar that didn't have Karaoke to try it out in their back game room. We plugged it into another TV to have another screen then just the tablet, and it became a karaoke party and we were even doing duets! The sound is amazing and we had other patrons coming from the front of the bar to join in! We got our songs off Singa, YouTube, Karafun and also connected some People's phones. It was so much Fun and the only reason we stopped was because the bar closed around us. I Liked this speaker so much I also ordered the smaller iKarao Break X2 a couple weeks later. (Review I sgonna happen) All my friend want to know where and how to get one! This is awesome to have in my arsenal and I can even perform at the Senior Communities with it as it's so portable and is seamless!

You need this karaoke system!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love karaoke. Believe me when I say I try every style of karaoke system I can get my hands on. I had specific criteria searching for this system. It needed to be a self-contained, battery powered system with wireless microphones, built in monitor, and great sound. It needed on-board and customizable microphone effects. It needed to have input connectivity including external drives, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and wired microphones or external audio sources like a laptop or tablet. It needed to have a great catalog of available karaoke tracks. It needed to be able to send audio to an external audio system and send video to an external TV or Monitor(if the built-in screen weren't big enough). This system ticks every one of those boxes. The built-in tablet runs a variety of apps including Karafun, and YouTube. By registering and logging into these apps, a huge selection of karaoke tracks become available. Within Karafun, you have quite a bit of control including changing the key +/-, setting the volume of the backing and lead singers, and setting the size of the lyrics panel. Search or browse tens of thousands of available songs, create custom tracks yourself, play music trivia games, etc. You can even get a prioritized, custom list of songs that match your vocal range. Overall, this system knocks it out of the park. Things that could be improved: there is a slight delay between singing and having your voice come out of the speakers. It's slight, but to me it was noticeable. Another point is keeping a charge. I charged the system fully, used it while plugged in, shut it down. A day later, I decided I should unplug it to avoid overcharging. A couple of weeks later, I found that the batteries in the system and microphones were drained. That was unexpected. Last item for consideration is that there doesn't seem to be a way to sing karaoke with tracks that you own on a hard drive. It's possible to play the music, but not play the entire CD+G, Zip, or MP4 karaoke track. Perhaps there is a workaround, but I haven't found it. But, this is a powerful sounding, all-in-one, battery powered karaoke system that ticks all the boxes. It's easy, intuitive and very fun. Of all the systems I've tried, this is the best yet!

It Completely Changed Our Nights at Home 🎤
This karaoke machine has honestly changed our evenings and even our social life. I’ve been a singer most of my life, while my husband only recently started singing, and now it’s become something we genuinely love doing together. We invite friends over for karaoke nights and end up having an absolute blast. The sound quality is fantastic, it gets plenty loud without sacrificing clarity, and the screen is a huge plus. It’s large and easy enough to read that we don’t even need reading glasses while singing. I really can’t say enough good things about it! It has turned ordinary nights at home into something we actually look forward to.

The cost is high, but so is the return. Can't say that about many things.
First things first. The negative (which is probably what you want to know): 1. This is an expensive unit. To make matters worse, you CAN subscribe to the Karafun App for a massive library. 2. That touch screen is not perfect. It WILL drive you insane at times. It is either nearly non-responsive or overly sensitive at times. I wish that there was a wireless mouse option. The Pros: 1. It is worth every single penny if you actually use it. Our family has had several karaoke machines over the years, and this is on a whole other level. The sound is fantastic, and the mics are easily (maybe too easily) adjustable. 2. I don't love subscriptions. Luckily you get 6-months "free" to check if you will actually use the device. This is smart and prudent. Just check it out. Yes, it requires an internet connection. Conclusion: Sometimes you get what you pay for. In this case, it is true. It is pricey and exceptional. It appears priced right at the edge of "unreasonable." Is it worth it? To my family - yes. An unqualified resounding yes. I catch my wife singing (practicing) alone all the time. And she MIGHT have caught me a time or two. :) Get out there and have fun. Don't take it all so seriously. And it's nice to use a piece of tech that just works. And - bonus - that YouTube function works like a champ. Don't want to pay for the subscription? Just use the YouTube function, and you're good to go. Have fun!

Ikarao Beat X1 two thumbs way up!
I still have the Pioneer CLD-V720 Karaoke machine I bought for about $1K setup in my home and will likely keep it. With that said, I have been waiting to buy a Karaoke machine in this century! :) If you been into Karaoke, Pioneer is the best when it all started, mics, sound and a huge library of music video to choose from. Without a doubt, the Ikarao Beat X1 is the best in the market IMHO currently! It doesn’t have the nice videos like Pioneer Karaoke, but everything is better ie. mics, easy setup, custom sound setup for the mics, portable, inputs for wired mics or plug in your guitar, sound quality, Bluetooth, battery operated and ability to Karaoke offline. Two of my adult kids play the electric guitar, I can't wait for them to plug in and play while karaoking. The price point currently at $550 from $700 retail, it is the best value model for your money! I'm really impressed with this machine, I am not easily impressed by other Karaoke machines since I have the best Pioneer Karaoke machine that my family still use. This one is a solid, well engineered machine. I even bought the travel case, mic and Karaoke stand at Ikarao.com because I expect to use at family events outside wherever we party! Is it prefect, obviously not but for the $550.00 not a bad machine for money!

Game-Changer for Karaoke Nights!
I recently got the Ikarao Break X1 karaoke machine, and I have to say, it's been an absolute hit—just as you can see in the video! The microphones are loud and clear, no distortion at all, and I loved how the microphone charging slot is built-in. It’s super convenient since I don’t have to worry about pairing or charging them separately—they’re always ready to go. The all-in-one design makes it portable and easy to set up anywhere. I’ve taken it from the living room to the backyard, and it even went with me to a family event at church. Plus, the 13.3" touchscreen for displaying lyrics is a game changer—no more needing my phone or iPad for song lyrics. It rotates too, so no matter where people are standing, they can sing along easily. As for the sound, it’s surprisingly powerful for something so compact. The bass is clear and deep, and I haven’t experienced any sound issues, even at high volumes. And when they say the battery lasts, they mean it. I’ve used this machine consistently for a month now, and I haven’t had to charge it since the initial charge. It’s still going strong! In short, the Break X1 really delivers everything you’d expect from a top-tier karaoke machine—easy setup, great sound, long-lasting battery, and portability. Perfect for casual get-togethers or full-on karaoke nights!

Nice karaoke machine but…
It’s a nice karaoke machine, the sound is loud, without distortion even on the higher volume. The mics are also not cheap looking but I still have to get used to the sound of it, because it’s not as crisp or clear as to the sound even on my cheaper speaker. Wished it has a remote control or can use a mouse for the android acreen. As for the 6 months free subscription with Karafun app I only got a electronic response, it’s been six days since I emailed them, I don’t know how long must I wait for a real answer so that I can use the Karafun and get to see the whole selection of songs. Update: From 4 stars to 1 star. Still no response on my request for the 6 months Karafun free subscription. I tried using the Aux, bought the necessary cables so I can plug in my small karaoke machine on the guitar/mic/audio (3 kinds of 3.5 to RCA adapters and 2 kinds of 1/4 inch maleTRS to RCA female adapters ), they work but theres a heavy distortion it’s useless to use it. I was on a holiday when I ordered it, and when I came back I only had a short amount of time to try it before I realized the cons. Also, one of the cons is when you use the Karafun. You have to subscribe and pay for about $10 monthly. I have other karaoke machines (Hundai and Platinum) with loads of free songs so I only use this Ikarao in the garden. Another update SEPT. 18, 2025 Just noticed that even on standby the battery drains in one week. I think it was not like that when it was new.

Best thing I ever bought
Best thing I ever bought.. I receive it today, I hope I never have any issues with it. But it’s absolutely amazing, I paid a pretty penny and I am happy I did, I did it for myself with no regrets. I highly recommend it. Sound quality, and size exceeded my expectations 😊

Bad mic delay
Speakers sound great and go very loud. The mics aren’t great and have a delay making it difficult to stay on beat with the music. You hear your vocals through the speakers a while after you’ve sang them and it’s very distracting. The mic audio is also not very crisp, no matter the mic settings. For this price point, I’d expect better mics and mic sound quality. Was still fun but the mic delay really takes away from the experience. Might return this and just do a DIY karaoke setup.
