Exceeded expectations in every way. Excellent value.
The outsized sound is booming and crisp. It has the versatility to go anywhere and play on anything, including my home TV and speakers, and the battery lasts forever. The performer can face the audience using the portable screen while friends can watch the performance and the lyrics on the TV. The controls are intuitive and it is easy to get started out of the box, and I keep finding nice features I never thought of. I love the design, like how the microphones pop in and disappear and are always charged. Excellent, thoughtful design all around and top-shelf quality. It can do anything: It is a modified Android with a simple Karaoke interface featuring large, simple app selections, but there are plenty of options if you want to get nerdy. Our favorite app is KaraFun, which has a 6 month subscription included and better subscription options if you subscribe on the device (totally worth it!). The app displays a small QR code so people can pull out their camera, scan, and a browser pulls up a web app on their phones so everyone can easily add songs to the playlist. It’s dummy and alcohol proof! There is even a cool voice match that checks your range and matches your voice to compatible songs that works perfectly. It also has a browser, so it’s also a great portable TV and much more. I tried the Costco machines and was tempted to get a cheaper, higher rated machine but they are no match for the value. I am very happy I paid a little extra for far better quality and an easier, more immersive experience. I have been trying to figure out why there are so many cheap items with higher reviews. The only explanation I can think of is that reviewers of budget alternatives don’t know what they’re missing. They are not even close to the sound, quality, or design of the X1.

The Rolls Royce of Portable Karaoke Machines!!!
Wow this speaker is something else! It's a game changer! I do host Karaoke for a living and I am always looking for new fun Karaoke things, especially for when I travel or do small events, or even to send out for rental systems. I stumbled onto the iKarao Break X1 on Social Media and knew that I had to try it. When I got it I was so excited to start playing with it. It does take time to set up the Apps and get to know the controls but it was also very easy to to setup. Not only does it run Karafun, but also can run Starmaker, Smule, Singa Karaoke, Netflix, YouTube and more. The App Store has a lot of options as well. First off this speaker sounds incredible! You can adjust the bass and the treble volume. What's really cool is the two microphones hide away and recharge in the unit. You can adjust the mic volume on the actual microphones, as well as add effects thru a quick button on the mic. You also have more effects on the Speaker. Mixing the Mic and Music is very easy. It has a very nice touch screen tablet and can also output to a TV via HDMi and also thru a VideoCaster. You can plug in your guitar, additional Mics, you can bluetoont your phone or computer, and you also can insert a MicroSD card and/or Thumb drive. There are a few apps also that can help you record yourself while singing. This is one of the most versatile speakers I have seen. It can be mounted on a speaker pole, it has a long lasting battery, and a carrying strap. I decided to put it to the ultimate test and invite some friends to our local bar that didn't have Karaoke to try it out in their back game room. We plugged it into another TV to have another screen then just the tablet, and it became a karaoke party and we were even doing duets! The sound is amazing and we had other patrons coming from the front of the bar to join in! We got our songs off Singa, YouTube, Karafun and also connected some People's phones. It was so much Fun and the only reason we stopped was because the bar closed around us. I Liked this speaker so much I also ordered the smaller iKarao Break X2 a couple weeks later. (Review I sgonna happen) All my friend want to know where and how to get one! This is awesome to have in my arsenal and I can even perform at the Senior Communities with it as it's so portable and is seamless!

Ikarao Beat X1 two thumbs way up!
I still have the Pioneer CLD-V720 Karaoke machine I bought for about $1K setup in my home and will likely keep it. With that said, I have been waiting to buy a Karaoke machine in this century! :) If you been into Karaoke, Pioneer is the best when it all started, mics, sound and a huge library of music video to choose from. Without a doubt, the Ikarao Beat X1 is the best in the market IMHO currently! It doesn’t have the nice videos like Pioneer Karaoke, but everything is better ie. mics, easy setup, custom sound setup for the mics, portable, inputs for wired mics or plug in your guitar, sound quality, Bluetooth, battery operated and ability to Karaoke offline. Two of my adult kids play the electric guitar, I can't wait for them to plug in and play while karaoking. The price point currently at $550 from $700 retail, it is the best value model for your money! I'm really impressed with this machine, I am not easily impressed by other Karaoke machines since I have the best Pioneer Karaoke machine that my family still use. This one is a solid, well engineered machine. I even bought the travel case, mic and Karaoke stand at Ikarao.com because I expect to use at family events outside wherever we party! Is it prefect, obviously not but for the $550.00 not a bad machine for money!

THE BEST KARAOKE MACHINE OF 2023!
IKARAO 4 IN 1 PARTY SPEAKER I am truly happy to have been one of the original two hundred backers on indiegogo to see this product into its first production run. The sound is unparalleled in any Bluetooth speaker I have owned or had the pleasure of hearing such a sound system. I am an Android user & with Android 13 OS and was happy to hear it would be familiar territory. It's also intuitive & close to home + user friendly. I like that the heads up display features on the interface, they are pronounced & very visable to use. The sound quality is superb & unparalleled in any Karaoke Machine I have used. The bluetooth speaker function is phenomenal by itself, the bass is excellent. I though am saddened to hear that there's only a 64GB version available, instead of a 1TB for the internal memory storage. Would have been nice for the price to have had the extra memory space in mind. Some more thoughts: • Would have liked to have had a solid color light option. • Will there be an automatic microphone turn on function in the near future or in a update? • Accedental button being presses on microphones. • Microphones latency delay issues. • Screen issues. On closing, I love the overall aesthetic of this marvelous machine & wish to see what's to come from IKARAO in the near future in Karaoke Machines.. Your's truly, Fidel E Gonzalez

Best Karaoke machine for your karaoke money!
I actually did a lot of research for choosing this one. I really think this machine offers the best quality that you can get for the money. It is right on the edge of a really good Home machine and a professional one. I actually considered starting a Karaoke small business using this machine! I had a really cheap one before and I decided to treat myself and upgrade when I was asked by a friend to host a fun karaoke party at her house for our mutual friends. The party was a big success, the machine was easy to use and had great sound. I highly recommend it!.

First Impression: Way Better Than The Break X2 - But Still Returned…
Just got this today and only used it for a bit, so more playing around will determine the final verdict. I got the smaller Break X2 first (see separate review - sent it back) and after much debate, decided to try this one because reviews and other research I did suggested that it was bigger and louder - which it is. Ikaro makes a stand which fits both units so that is cool. The unit is bigger, it has more wattage and power, it’s got similar lighting effects, the tablet is bigger (but still kind of wonky) and while I love the idea of rechargeable mics, the sound is equally “meh” on both the Break X1 and X2. I’m not a “great singer”, but I can sing and I feel like I sounded better on my old cheap and now dead Ankuka or at the local pizza joint where I sing occasionally on Friday nights then on the X1 or the X2. Part of the problem is the delay/latency problem both units have. But I do think there are issues with the mics themselves. Just kind of OK, and since I paid for these mics I want to use these mics, ya know? It’s also odd that despite connecting to wifi first I had to try a few times before connecting to YouTube. Once I did it was fine and it stayed connected. Like with the X2, I am still seeing the issue where I turn on the unit, it does its thing, I turn on the mic - and nothing. Then I restart the machine and it all works fine. Could be a quirk. I see it as a major flaw. They should connect every time the machine turns on. Even the way cheaper machines I’ve tried do that. So is this a terrible machine? Not at all. Will it be fun for home parties when wannabe Uncle Frank Sinatra wants to belt out a tune? Of course it will. Ikaro could have achieved perfection with this one - but it cut a corner or two and just kinda settled. And for the price they charge, I don’t see that as being a good idea. Plus I also got the JBL Party Box 310 to play with and that one literally shook the house, so it’s already winning as a BT speaker. But since the mics are sold separately, (and because of a delay in shipping - good job again, Amazon - I had to wait to test the JBL as a karaoke machine. While that’s another story (and another review), if the JBL passes muster, then the X1 is going back. But again, and in summary, the Ikaro Break X1 is way better than the Break X2. Still giggling about an expensive piece of electronic equipment being called “Break”, but again, I digress. There doesn’t just doesn’t seem to be a need for an X2 (other than the slightly lower cost) after trying the X1 so if your only choices are the X1 vs. the X2, and you’ve got a few extra bucks, spend them on the X1…happy shopping! Edit 09-16-24: Sending it back. The JBL Party Box 310 blows the socks off this thing. Sure, no built in screen. Sure, mics not included. But it still cranks much louder and sounds way better. My iPad works as a better singing screen, there’s no lag/delay, and I should never, ever, ever have to start and restart the machine to get the mics to work. I think that bugged me most of all. And the JBL mics I got sound pretty dang good and you can control the mic volume on the back of the machine. But there’s no hard feelings - that’s the beauty of the return process (even though Amazon seems to be taking its sweet time on getting the money back these days). I still see a lot of potential in these Ikaro folks and their fancy machines, as well as the “all in one” concept which I do think is a good one. They’ve just gotta work out the bugs - and that requires a lot more testing and elbow grease. I’ll likely keep the Ikaro speaker stand I bought as it’s nice and strong (and wide), and the JBL Party Box 310 has a hole to mount it which brings the crankage to a whole new level!

Non-existent Customer Service
This was a great karaoke machine... until it wasnt. Everything started great. The X1 worked great and put out great sound as a karaoke machine. After about a year, little issues started to arise. It wouldnt connect to wi-fi, I couldn't get it to turn on unless it was 100% charged (even if it was plugged in) etc. I found myself having more and more problems trying to get it up and running until, about 1 1/2 years after purchasing it, it finally refused to turn on at all. It was fully charged, the charging light and microphone charging lights worked fine and would shut off once it was finished charging. But try as I might, it would not turn on. I went through all of the company's troubleshooting suggestions to no avail. I finally reached out to the company to request assistance with the issues. I sent them the photos and videos they requested. They acknowledged receiving them. Then nothing. I followed up every month or so to remind them that I had not been contacted by anyone. I even told them I was willing to give their product another try if they'd give me a discount on a new one. Crickets. Terrible customer service. There is no reason a $600 piece of equipment should be dead after 18 months. You'd think for that kind of money the company would make at least some minimal effort to help one of their customers out. It's clear they don't care once they have your money. Id recommend looking elsewhere for a karaoke machine. There are plenty of other good options out there.

Great sound but low quality microphone / outdated bluetooth
I really wanted to love this karaoke machine. It’s almost perfect but the drawbacks are annoying. From various sources, this is as good as it gets unless you build one yourself. Pros - sound quality of speakers is top notch. - great packaging and quality build - complete set of functionalities (WiFi, Bluetooth, YouTube, Smule, Karafun, tablet, etc.) - easy to use Cons - poor quality microphone. Cuts in and out if you don’t hold it next to your mouth. Ok if you like a microphone like this. On high volume you need a foam shield. It should of come with it. - Bluetooth latency on microphone is very annoying. Sometimes too much signals around causes microphone to act up and you have to reset the whole device. - tablet is slower than desirable, and screen is text is small. Apple Music didn’t go full screen. Overall, I have very mix feeling about this machine. At the price point, I wish they had better microphone and tablet performance. It’s almost perfect. I like the overall machine and I hate the microphone. I can live with the slow tablet because I connect Bluetooth and use Apple Music with singing mode.

Best thing I ever bought.. I receive it today, I hope I never have any issues with it. But it’s absolutely amazing, I paid a pretty penny and I am happy I did, I did it for myself with no regrets. I highly recommend it. Sound quality, and size exceeded my expectations 😊

Bad mic delay
Speakers sound great and go very loud. The mics aren’t great and have a delay making it difficult to stay on beat with the music. You hear your vocals through the speakers a while after you’ve sang them and it’s very distracting. The mic audio is also not very crisp, no matter the mic settings. For this price point, I’d expect better mics and mic sound quality. Was still fun but the mic delay really takes away from the experience. Might return this and just do a DIY karaoke setup.
