Amazing! It is a little bit tricky to use, but when you get used to it, it makes the process of releasing the oil filter SO easy, and refitting is a breeze too - giving me the confidence that it's right enough. Superb bit of kit.

Why did I not get one of these sooner? my MPV has it's oil filter in one of those hard to get at places, right at the front of the engine with little room around it to get a strap type filter remover on and be able to turn it, so after struggling the last couple of years I decided to get the right tool for the job and chose this, still a bit of a fiddle to get it down over the filter but once there just a few short movements on the ratchet handle and it gripped and just a few more it started to undo the filter and it was soon easy to finish the job by hand. It has a few different ways to use it, with the 1/2" drive socket inserted you can use a socket wrench or a spanner, take the socket off and you can use a 3/8" drive, with easy to get at filters this is a doddle to use and for problem filters like mine it makes life a lot easier, good tool, fits different sized filters, well made and it works.

With a very stubborn and seized filter on my Vw Transporter, I was concerned at how good this item was. The tool looked cheap and nasty when I removed it from its box. Using this tool in the down position was really quite fiddly. Having to get it seated straight, a good strong hold onto the filter and to keep the pressure on without it slipping was a challenge….it certainly took me a good few tries. A third hand would have helped greatly. To my surprise as soon as I got all 3 of these issues correct, the grip was strong and the filter came off easily without slipping. No cut knuckles either…🥵🥵 It made some damage to the old filter removing it so installing a new one with this tool may do the same. Probably better getting a good quality removal wrench.

Este extractor de filtros de aceite es muy práctico y robusto. El sistema de tres patas agarra con firmeza y se ajusta perfectamente a distintos tamaños de filtro, lo que facilita mucho el trabajo incluso en espacios reducidos. El acabado metálico es sólido y transmite durabilidad. Lo he probado y no resbala, hace que cambiar el filtro sea rápido y sin esfuerzo. Muy recomendable para tener en cualquier caja de herramientas.
